Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I go straight to my "pissed off Clint Eastwood from Gran Torino" stage when moving. His character in that movie is the angry old MI Pollock that I hope to become one day.
LOL. My favorite scene is where the girls getting hassled by the 2 black dudes, and clint doesn't even waste any time whipping out Ye Olde Colt Model 1911.

It's the same kind of scene as in "King of New york" with C. Walken where he's one the subway, and 3 young tuffs get on and grab his girls purse, and Walken just moves his coat aside showing the heat, and looks at them. LOL

It is the "I'm old and ready to die. I'll take every single one of you fuucks with me if you give me half a chance or two tenths of a reason to..." look.

Been spinning Red Fang's "Whales and Leeches" a lot for some reason in my downtime. Great album. Don't know why I overlooked it so much when it first came out. Glad I revisited it.
I was pretty meh on it at first, but I love it now. Just took awhile to grow on me I guess. I remember when Blood Like Cream was prereleased I was pretty unimpressed, but now it's one of my favorite songs by them.

Sam, listened through the album a couple of times on my poopy work speakers but blasted the album on my 20 minute commute this morning. The mix sounds fantastic. I can't wait to blast it in the wife's car since she's got the premium Bose package.

Morning dudes.

Have any of you ever broken the end off and instrument plug? I was messing with rewiring my pedal board earlier and I use the planet waves solderless cablesattion kit thing. So I'm unplugging some stuff and rearranging things when I notice the tip just above the ring off one of the plugs is missing. So I'm looking all around trying to find where it fell. Can't find it. Whatever I scrap that cable and continue on with what I was doing. Then I get to a pedal that won't let me plug in all the way. Look inside...oh there's the tip jammed inside the input of a pedal. What a butthole that was to get out of there. Took me like half an hour. I didn't even know the plug ends could come apart like that. Always thought it was one solid piece.

TL;DR
pedal wanted just the tip...and kept it haha.

I was at an acoustic jam, and my buddy wanted to play my bass and I didn't have a right angle jack with me and he was playing for a while and he snapped the end. It was those twist on ones that always come loose. I guess he kept working it loose then he snapped it. No biggy just kind of weird to witness.

Yeah I was like ***. I thought I had ruined the pedal at first cause it really wasn't coming out. Was weird too cause it wasn't the entire plug that came off. The ring and the long bit were still there it's just the shaped tip that stayed in the pedal. Was really strange.
