Spruced up my corner of the space. Played the Peavey Standard for the first time in forever. Man it's so nasty. The preamp section would make such a great disto pedal. Too bad I'm electronics illiterate.

800 posts... sheesh. The first so many are all about the festivals and 400 series. This is a 260 series Standard. Different layout.
Yeah I didn't read the whole thing...just throwing it out there in the hopes it might be of some help to you.800 posts... sheesh. The first so many are all about the festivals and 400 series. This is a 260 series Standard. Different layout.
I'm sorry, that's F# below the B string? Finally got my Dingwall strung up for F# standard and good lord does it sound beastly. I can't think of much more to say about it at the moment...that low end is just so sweet.
Yep. The string is .170I'm sorry, that's F# below the B string?
Yep. The string is .170
For normal practice I use a Fender Rumble 40. It has no chance whatsoever of handling that F# string. I'm not a fan of the Rumble 40, but it serves well enough as a practice amp that I am okay with keeping it in that role. More often than not I'm just plugging headphones into it these days anyway, but even in that role I'm not a fan of how it sounds. What poor amp setup is being tasked with reproducing that?
Ummmm...you need to crop out everything left of the mic so I can look at the gear. #onlyhumanView attachment 3819718

Haha. Our guitarist was saying the same thing. She's not really my type. Anywho. . .Ummmm...you need to crop out everything left of the mic so I can look at the gear. #onlyhuman
Those 100 watts don't go that far. Not vs a full stack. Its cool to mess with. But the GK rig on the left is my band rig.I got sucked into it. Just want to know if there's a damn pedal that came out of it...would be rad to check out.
Jam space looks rad, would love to have some tube power here.
I just leave every thread with a consumerist thirst for a new piece of gear, normalised by the forum as GAS.Goddam! Every once in a while I'll read or participate in a another thread on talkbass.... and I generally want to kill myself afterwards. Its not that bass players are particularly stupid, its that most humans are... really...shagging....stupid. Doom until it brings doom, that's my philosophy.
