This is like mine, same color (mine has a EGC neck). It's not the bass I'm using with the band but I love it and it's probably the only piece of "valuable whatever" I have ever owned in my life, and now I'll probably have to sell it, 'cause I believe I can consider myself "almost unemployed" by now.
I hate everything.

That's rough. Hope you find a way to hold on to it, that's gotta be a special one.

I had to do the same twice. I luckily held out long enough to find someone that's close personally. One's still with my cousin, I get a chance to play it every once in a while. But yeah gave them a deal and they said if I ever wanted em back they'd take the same price. If it weren't for that, I'd miss em both a lot and really regret moving em.

I can sympathize! I'd give up several basses to get back my AutoCocker, AutoMag, AutoMag RT and Angel markers.

Lol, yeah such is life. Never owned an angel, but used one for world cup way back. No I think it was the Atlantic open. Great gun.

Played a lot of pump, I'm glad I kept pics, but there were way too many rare cockers I flipped. I used a few mags, but that's one I wish I had bought and kept, indestructible.

In bass news I made progress on my bass vi build. Sub short scale, thinking about getting some hella thick strings and tuning it to C STD.

We're going to leave our reharsal space, 99% decided. I will never find another as perfect as this one, damn in was even in the basement of my workplace

We're going to reharse at my drummer's house, he lives on the mountains, he only has 1 neighbour... But his "reharsal space" is an old wood shack and it's not a place where one wants to leave expensive gear. We'll have to find another one one when (if) I work again

Other than schlepping the gear in and out, that sounds pretty awesome.

It's a picturesque, quaint place, yeah.
But it's not as simple as just moving gear (I would not use 2 amps at that point)
It's like playing outside, it's damn hot when it's sunny and when it rains it's dangerous 'cause the wiring is just a DIY mess (no grounding etc...)
These few days were terrible enough. We managed to almost finish the song we started before the COVID tho... so better than not playing, I guess.

And I see the bright side too!! I really love this place in the woods! It's very "rural black metal" Such a shame it's just not practical... But maybe we can work this out, spending some money (which I don't have now ) on it!
We have to figure out what to do now.

I mean, why would you want one of those anyway? (Says the guy with one of them - AND a toddler on top of it! Now there’s an accessory...)

HAY KIDDZ, so in my covid boredom I've decided to make this Conrad bass a little more better. Got a Supertone bridge on the way to deal with the intonation probs, but don't like the headstock jankyness. I put on a black pickguard years ago when I got it which looks better.

Thinking about sanding off the corrupted clear coat, or covering it with my '70s prism vinyl stuff, or maybe respraying it black. What would you do?
