Like you, most stuff I've been liquidating has been 'try-out' gear that I only buy if it's a really good deal. If it's not a keeper, I won't really flip things for more than what I paid, because I'm a good dude(?) and feel ok about passing that savings on to the next guy....? I sold this clown a bass for about $75 less than I paid and he was still asking me to knock off another $50 - granted the bass wasn't 100% original, but it had been refinsihed, fixed up/restored nicely, I fixed a couple of other things, set it up perfectly......and then.....(farting noise)

Guess no good deed goes unpunished, so from now on fcuk 'em if they can't pay my price.

That's one thing that's been on my mind lately. I think I've been so cynical about it for years, but I always take offers and try to make that known. If I can, and it's still in the same shape I got it, I normally post it up about the same I got in it or at least the lowest price on the market.

I have noticed that most of my sales go to Europe since I offer to ship internationally for a reasonable rate.

That's a lot of bread unless it's in mint condition. I almost got one a couple years back but only 1 vol knob kind of turned me off....of course now I have a V4-B, same thing, but I don't have to really crank it as much to get it in the sweet spot.

Agreed. I figure I'd have to sell an amp to grab it; likely the trace elliot V4, which I'd regretfully do.
I hear you on the one vol knob as well. I've been getting more dirt lately from pedals. But I know dudeguy from KWC recorded contained container ships with it, so there's that. From all accounts it can get dirty though. Likely won't bc I really don't want to sell an amp atm; just always been tempted by em. That and a D-180.

I got the PD7! My first impression was that it was a very solid bass distortion, but I wasn't getting the aggressive tone I was hoping for. Then I tested the attack switch and oh man, it makes even my flatwounds clank. This is some seriously cool stuff!!

I got mine too, thanks for the reminder. It sounds great, but it's maybe a touch too scooped (the dreaded S word!) for my tastes. Imma keep it around anyway, it does what it does beautifully.

Yes - it makes flats clank! My flats sound so aggressive, and yet present and clanky, with no loss of lows. It's amazing. I love it for that, even moreso than my B3K. My PD-7s have officially replaced both HM-2s and B3Ks on my board. It just fills the roles of both so perfectly.

They haven't released anything, but there's a couple of their shows on Youtube.

I went to pick my new bike, re-learned to ride a bike (hadn't touched a bike for 20 years ) and came to my reharsal space by bike. A chopper-bike would have been more metal but couldn't find an adult-sized one
Oh BTW all this "traffic" is happening 'cause this was the fastest solutions to come to reharsals from my current workplace, 'cause finally me and my drummer have decided to take the calculated risk and start reharsing again (breaking the law! breaking the law! ). I'm not "happy" of it but for f.ck's sake, ours is the lowest risk activity I can think about. If going to shopping malls is fine, and going to the disco this summer was ok, and oh no we really can't do without the Christmas Mass this year!!, I guess we're not the ones to blame for the COVID. I'm sick and tired of laws only considering the imbeciles' "needs".
If the cops pick him we'll pay the fine 50/50. Wish us good luck

I don't know, maybe it's an age thing, but the older I get, I find less and less music to my taste. I remember that in my 20s my year end's lists were so jam packed with stuff that I had to do like top 15 or 20 instead of top 10.

Well, in stoner/doom barely anything moved me this year.

Of course it's an age thing… The more you are experienced as a listener, the more it becomes difficult to find something that sounds "surprising" to you.
On the other hand, genres that are >30 years old… how long can you squeeze a lemon before it dries out?

Right on man it's good to hear you're doing something that makes you happy. And I'm no hipster but bikes are still metal as fkek IMO. Good for the environment, good exercise...what could be more metal than self-improvement? (Or maybe I'm just revealing my hippy tendencies again.)

Bonus points, not having to deal with people not wearing their masks on the bus anymore.
BTW the Chopper Bike was my dream
