Mountainking's stuff is crazy, in a good way. I haven't been able to get my Megalith to work in the context I was hoping for, but man, there are a ton of ridiculous fuzz tones inside that thing.

Mountainking's stuff is crazy, in a good way. I haven't been able to get my Megalith to work in the context I was hoping for, but man, there are a ton of ridiculous fuzz tones inside that thing.
I owned the megalith and could not get it to work. granted i was still pretty new to playing in a band and probably just lacked the how-to. would love to give it a try again someday.

It's totally gnarly, definitely one of the heaviest and most versatile fuzzes I've tried, but I just prefer the tone of Big Muffs overall.
someone needs to clone it and put it in a sensible enclosure. that's just too much real estate for a fuzz.
Yup, damn I never really recognized how massive that is. @bassboysam same here, kinda surprised it hasn't been.
Whew that'd be a bit much. The cardboard has a rough mock up I'm working on. Same look as the one in the back. I think ~24x12in, pedals on the cardboard with the 3 behind it on the underside and the 3 in front being inserted.
I had to look this thing up, never heard of it. Found old clips on youtube, it sounds ok, I wonder why that thing never took off...maybe because it kinda sounds like any middle of the road muff, is yuuuuge and having to flip it over to adjust the x-over freq (I think) with a small screwdriver?
It was a happy dad's day. Bought a bunch of ridiculously cheap LEGOs at the local flea market and spent the day re-building the kits with my son. It was a solid day!

It's crazy how we can all get so caught up with life. I know the same happens to me all the time. I never realized how much is involved with a day until I got married.
Anyone have any experience with the Digitech DF-7?
The few decent clips sound pretty good. On the cheap, thinking about picking one up to save some space on the live board. I'd likely run it in blend loop. I dig the idea of having an EQ for some of those circuits. Mostly interested in the Rat, Muff, and maybe MM/MT.

Sounds like you're already sold on it. Personally I don't like the artifacts you get in digital dirt, but don't let me rain on your dirt parade. If you like it, it should be a very high value unit
@YawningJorin, great point. I jumped on it already, figured it's no loss if I don't like it. Older digitech pedals don't seem to be ridiculously expensive yet.
I tend to agree about something being off with digital dirt. But I definitely try to take each pedal with an open mind. Same for instruments and amps too. I've been surprised and blown away more times than I remember. This is a bit older pedal so will be interesting.

The minute you said this, I remembered you mentioning this solution before with my arkham pre. I want something that I can rack in a case with the Zdora pre though. I'm going to try my older carvin class D power amp at practice soon (drummer and gtr just quit and we have a couple dudes coming out next week) and see how that goes. This Zdora 1978 pre is stupid amounts of fun. It's based off the traynor TS-120B and gets super dirty. Same thing the rusty box is based off. It's made me rework my smaller pedal board and now I'm running volume, da120, wizard, model fett, echosystem, empress reverb, tuner. Those three dirt pedals stack so damn well. I have space for one more pedal and am kicking around a few ideas; right now its between my pladask backfram or tensor (if they both fit that would be too perfect and such great noise ha, but alas I'd have to get a slightly larger board).
A MTB crash is putting the kibosh on my ability to go loud, low and angsty, which isn’t helping my head.
