By cone area a 2x15 is about the same as a 4x10, but in general they have a little bit more excursion so in total displacement it's closer to a 6x10.

Two 1x15 cabs usually sit a lot higher than a 4x10 so it might just be that it is close to your ears. They also look cool.
mostly just once a week a band practice. Two cabs is definitely overkill for most places and for this band, but it’s happened. Standing in front of that thing is absolutely glorious.

I'm thinking about getting one to have a 2-channel clean blend so I can mix my Russian Muff and a Acapulco Gold clone with the clean signal to have enough low end. Maybe I could even use it to mix the clean signal and both pedals at the same time.
Is this the clean blend I'm looking for? I don't really want to buy the KMA Tyler, it seems a bit overkill.

I have a few different pedals that basically do a rotating speaker imitation, including a MXR Uni-Vibe. It's OK for stuff that doesn't reach below low E on a guitar, but it's probably my least favorite of the things I have that do the thing it does (basically a phase/vibrato thing). Really, my favorite of that is the Leslie emulation on my Yamaha Reface-YC, but I haven't figured out how to run my bass through it. It's a really convincing emulation.
I do like my IdiotBox Dark Tides a lot, though it's not really doing as much of the phase thing, I think.

I tried a few blenders... didn't like the OBNE. It seemed to add way too much compression to whatever I put in the loops, so whatever I was blending ended up sounding like less than the sum of its parts. Although they did put out an updated version recently, so maybe that issue was fixed.
The Wilson Effects Haze intrigues me, mainly because I use one of his wahs, which is really great. It sounds as good if not better than many vibes costing 3x more.
I'm looking at upgrading my modulation as rn I have a Joyo Vintage Phase [MXR Script 90 clone]. I love Vibe on guitar and in ye olden days I had a Fulltone Deja Vibe that sounded great with everything but it was long gone before I ever picked up bass.
I'm kinda leaning towards just getting a MXR Phase of some flavor if I don't go for a vibe. The other vibes I dig are just too $$$ for me to consider, such as the Mojo Vibe.
In the end, I decided on green. Now, I'll spend several weeks anticipating it being built/shipped. Eventually, I'll forget I even ordered it, and hopefully it will just magically show up and surprise me sometime in the summer.

^ Kinda intrigued by these, never heard of the builder. Do they actually make them or is it off-shored somewhere? I'm kinda getting a Halo Guitars build-your-own vibe.

Hehe, I wish I actually had a need. I saw the Tiesco-esque style, a modern mfr, and the Japanese style two tone burst, and I was sold. If the purple burst was more of a burst in the images, I'd have grabbed it in a second over the green. I'm wondering how the two switch setup controls the three pickups (can you get just the middle pickup?), and I'm wondering how T-bird style they are, but I'm totally intrigued.
They contract build them with one of the larger Korean manufacturers. My understanding is these days it's the same folks who build Reverend guitars, because the first one they contracted with could not meet their quality control standards. I'm not familiar with Halo Guitars, but it seems like PureSalem does a mixture of limited runs based on pre-orders and some other models are a regular production order - I don't see what looks like any regular production basses, though.
Everything I've read leads me to believe that it's at least as good as the other guitars and basses I have that were manufactured by one of the better Asian builders out there. All of my favorite basses past and present have been from Asian manufacturers, no matter the name on the head stock. So I have high hopes.
Plus, I've never owned a three pickup bass, and I've never owned a green bass. I always wanted a dark green bass, this should scratch that itch nicely.
Hehehe, looka super dumbass me buying basses when I know I don't really need any more, and I'm not planning on selling any of them! I've regretted every sale of a musical instrument I've made, and I don't really want to foist the instruments I dislike on an unsuspecting public. Fortunately, I really do like most of them, and some that I've sold I've bought back.
I don't have any children, but maybe my inheritors will see fit to form a band that will perform the band SATAN 100 that I and my cohorts dreamed up when we were drunk, high, maybe on acid, and in college. 100 folks, all playing whatever instrument, playing whatever version of an E chord that is available to them and they have an urge to play in a rhythmic pulse. Or, it'll all get sold in a yard sale. Ehh, maybe I'll give them all away someday. If there's a burst of horribly misguided punk/metal/psychedelic/noise bands around Dallas after I die, you'll know why.
Never tried one, always wanted to. Videos sound great but I've got zero experience. Sounds thick though so I'd imagine it's solid. Downside, the asking prices are on the up swing/plateau right now that I've seen. Been waiting for the market to level on em.
So tempted. How does your SF and mithrandir compare?
Great points made all around, for me what I think may exacerbate the issue with typical players is that likely many companies target sound profiles that somewhat match the idea that 15s are deeper or lower sounding with less articulation and highs...and 10s being punchy, more articulate, 12s a compromise, blah blah
Completely agree about the dark tides @scabpicker brought up. It's weird because it can be set up lopsided and throb/pulse. I found a setting quick that's more dimension C and water chorus without heavy movement and haven't wanted to change it much since. Eitherway, if you're interested in trying it, hit me up.
Only other vibe I've used is the one on Keeley's dark side pedal, which is actually a hell of a pedal. All the mods, delay, and fuzz work great with bass. Might be worth it cuz it'll hit your muff wants, vibe and phase wants, while also having a killer multi head delay. Only reason I don't have mine still is that I don't have space to run one on each signal path, lol. Maybe I should just say ef it and send it down both...Also I will say I get all of it being jammed into that pedal, but man if he found a way to keep similar size but separate the delay. Intuitive to set up, great sounds, I don't feel like have to change settings would be that rough in a set, but I never tried.
Oh and @scabpicker, sick pick up. I've know about Pure Salem since pro guitar shop was around and tone report/Andy was tied to em and singing their praises. Always liked the look, never even touched or ran into one in the wild. Had no clue they made basses.

UFO is Tone Machine based. Very defined upper octave, pretty clear for a fuzz.
SF is less defined and more wooly. Upper octave is pretty subtle.
Mithrandir is wild, spitty and sputterry with a pretty squirelly upper octave.
