Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Why would you use a Drop to play in drop D instead of tuning? I understand if everything is a half or whole step down, but the pedal seems like serious overkill to keep from tuning one string one tone down.
No no, I do tune to drop D, I meant the tuning of having DADG, like that form. Then I drop that to Drop B (4 semitones down) and it sounds big with my dirt pedals.
Sorry for the misunderstanding :whistle::laugh:
It totally would be overkill

Just checking in, been busy as all get out with life. Got nothing to add. Wait, I got to try out the new Fender Rascal with 2 wrhb pickups. Real strong tone, dig that it has 21 frets (iirc, was a big surprise), and they look great in person. Wasn't crazy about the gloss neck finish, I prefer satin, but it was real nice. I thought it balanced well despite how far forward the bridge is, which made it a little different to play from what I am used to, but nothing wrong with that.

Germany was awesome, the food was outstanding, the autobahn was wild, and overall really enjoyed the stay. I wanna bring the family out there next time.

Right on, thanks for the introduction. The cables look bad ass, and he has baseball tees. What's better than that? Haha

And welcome @mrSaxonAcres!

In case anyone is interested, I just posted my Dunable Thunderclapper for sale in the classifieds (that has been PLEK'd and professionally set up by Strange Guitarworks in New Orleans). LINK is in my signature.

Hey gang,
I updated my board a couple of weeks ago....added a darkglass alpha omicron and an ehx Russian green muff reissue. I love the muff and surprisingly impressed by the omicron, which stacked with the muff sounds massive and really tight. Still been wondering what a Black Arts Toneworks Sarcophagus might sound like if there's any experiences. This is iteration 6,732mkii

No experience with the Sarcophagus or the LSTR, but the Pharaoh Supreme has been my be-all, end-all fuzz for years. I prefer it to the standard version. May be worth a look - it's also cheaper than the Sarcophagus, and pops up used on Reverb somewhat regularly.

The pedalboard is finally coming together. Probably a couple more Saturdays and it'll be done. Gotta get a few more pieces of hardware mounted then final sanding and clearcoat. Hoping to have it all tied up before our next show at the end of October.

That's great and all, but what we really want is more pics of the doggo.

Hi all! How's live on this corner of the internet?

Haven't been on Talkbass in ages. Also haven't played a lot lately :rollno: I tried to start again, but listening to Black Sabbath is not good for your confidence. Maybe buying a new overdrive will help :D
When does a new pedal NOT help is the question.
Things are pretty consistent here. Pedals coming in, pedals going out. People popping in, people popping out. Core group is consistently here. 'Bout the same as when you last were here.
