I put my Carvin and my iMac up in the classifieds, because they've been sitting on CL locally for a month. I've been getting bites from CL and on here, but no one is actually buying. Hopefully someone pulls the trigger soon or I pick up some more recording/mixing work. Having a baby and ton of out of pocket dental work at the same time was expensive lol.

Thankfully some people gave us cash gifts as baby shower presents. Used it all to stock up on groceries, I'm going to attempt to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for us all next week. My wife puts so much pressure on herself to do everything when she's home and I don't want her to burn out. Plus, I'm a better cook.

Hello everybody! Been a little while. I'd try to catch up but that's an entirely hopeless endeavor. What's new with me you ask? Ah, well shucks, that's nice! This week I:
-got the last of my damn stitches removed. No more mole surgeries for the foreseeable future
-I got a hair cut! Upon returning home, my mother's question was "Did you even go? Or did you just spend an hour driving around town?"
-gave myself a new scar thanks to a nail at the job site (chicks dig scars, right? RIGHT!?!!)
-got to take the Sunn out for a spin last weekend, that was fun. Other bassists used it too, so I actually got to hear what it sounds like in the audience. Not bad, not bad.
-discovered the band Dewollf , really digging their stuff (Organ Power Trio? Awwwww yeah)
-in the process of buying supplies to start doing liquid light shows, because if I'm gonna be playing Acid Rock, I gotta have dem visuals.
-ran some numbers, and think I MIGHT be able to swing a Hi-Tone this year.

But seriously, I'm really weighing my options on the last one. On one hand, I could have an extra $2250 in my pocket. On the OTHER hand, I could a bamf new amplifier. Like, that might be a 3rd of my spending money (not food stuffs or essentials, that's al budgeted seperately) for this school year, but...AMPS. Ugh. We'll see. I really want it. But I really like money. But it's an amp, and it's loud, and it'd last me for years...and I really like being loud.

What you really want is a custom Dunwich that's two channels, one Hiwatt-based, the other Sunn-based. And blendable.

Also, what's a haircut?

First how do you find 2 people that happy that the world is going to end?
Second how do you talk someone else into putting them on international tv?

Some attention to these things can turn that $100 Squire into a real player. My Pbass isnt worth anything to anyone, but it is an amazing bass.

Often all that's really wrong with cheapo basses is a complete lack of a setup. They can turn into great players just with a little attention.

I know my beginner Peavey did.

I also saw that you can meet Mastodon on their new tour if you buy their $150 VIP package....on top of your ticket price. Whaaaaaaaaaat? You want me to pay $150 to meet the band? They are one of my favorites, but fvck that noise

$150 to meet the band? shag that. I've met members of Yob, SubRosa, Laudanum, Sea of Bones, Abigail Williams, Triptykon, and Neurosis for shaging free, and I like all those bands more than I like Mastodon.

I love that black P-bass. It looks so sinister. I wish the headstock and neck matched the body, though. It would look even more sinister.

Everyone seems to and it was the cheapest I've seen it and free 2 day shipping. Which do they really deliver on Sundays?

I hate when shipping estimates land on Sunday if they don't deliver Sundays, you'd think they'd have it in the algorithm to be able to say kidding this Monday but the it wouldn't appear like 2 day shipping.

No, they won't delivery on Sunday, but 2nd day air never does. It it was ordered in time to ship today, it should arrive Monday. Otherwise, may take until Tuesday I think. To me the UD sounds much better than the OCD drives I've played. It does a great job of imitating a drive channel on my amps that don't have one or that have a pretty miserable excuse for one xD

It will soon, its the last step. After i get the string tree and can hook up with my buddy who primarily works out of town its getting dyed to match the body.

Talked dude with the peavey 215 down to 125, still a little more than I hope to spend but it's probably still cheaper than buying two new black widows, also he told me it does include speaker grill and sliver side skirt thingys, can't wait to see what kinda tones I can get out of the two stacks.
