Same thing happened to on Monday. Was hoping it was just the battery so I swapped batteries with my wife's phone... not the battery.
I got lucky, my phone was on sale for a fraction of the price that I originally paid for it so I just bought the same thing again - was up and running in five minutes.
I have a year old S4... so I have another year that I have committed to paying on the contract, and no upgrade.

Fuugghhh. That's horrid. I'm not a big fan of this new "making payments on the phone" thing. I liked having a free upgrade or a cheap upgrade price, and then the phone was just mine. Nope, now we have phone loans.
Hopefully I can at least get a hefty discount by trading in my perfect condition nexus 4. >.>
Pay as you go is the only way to go. Yes, you'll probably pay a little more for your phone up front - but no contracts, no ******** is worth it for me.

Well, I'm kinda reluctant to share it here, but our guitard put it on youtube, so I might as well.
It was recorded with a phone camera standing on the guitar amp, so I'm pretty amazed that it's sounding as good as it is.

I always paid a monthly warranty fee when I used Verizon in case one broke, was hoping that you had something like that in your service plan.
Yeah I pay $9 for insurance. That mostly covers glass. Need to take it in and see what is wrong with it.
I hate dealing with cell phone crap. My suggestion is to always buy through best buy because they usually have the best deals and the best service in terms of repair and coverage.
