Bryce, Sonny did mine and shipped it back for $20 bucks. It only took like two weeks, not like waiting for a new BB. Send it to him.

Edit, if you do, do it yourself add a second footswitch instead of a toggle. The volume boost is pretty massive though between normal mode and bypass mode(The Boom Mode LOL).

Having sold Bryce my older 2004 version in favor of my 2013, I agree heartily. The volume boost is pretty crazy when the toggle is off, but they sound 99.5% identical when it is engaged. Would love to have that footswitchable. Hmmm.....

Fellas, I use to be a fairly active member of this board but life happens. I have a question and I don't feel like hearing the usual "it's 2014, you don't need all that gear." If any thread on TB can empathize, it will be y'all.

I was in an accident and may have totaled my truck this weekend (no injuries). That said, I need a new vehicle and I'd like one that my band can fit in. We are a three piece with
-2 ampeg 810's
-sunn 300t
-2 4x12's
-Mesa dual red
-2 pedalboards
-fairly large drum kit

I'm trying to avoid a full sized van. Does anyone have experience with a Chevy Astro van or gmc safari (I'm on a budget and like the AWD option). Maybe a pickup with a cap?

We fit David's 5 piece and half mine and Nick's rig in his old Nissan truck. It was the most uncomfortable ride ever in his cab. I want to get a v6 SUV (or truck) and trailer. It's the only way I think we'd all be comfortable without taking separate vehicles.

I think I'm going to ditch the flats and go back to rounds. Like I always do. The flats sound great - and through the American Sound it's Geezer in a box - but it's a one trick pony. I miss aggressive, snarly rounds. I can always turn down the tone knob to get rounds to sound more like flats - ain't nothin' I can do to make flats sound like rounds.

I really like having the tone bypass option. I use my Bluebeard as the bass end of my stereo rig (even started rolling the tone knob back on the bass pickup for more mud butt sounds) but when using it for guitar or as a solitary fuzz it absolutely rips when the tone bypass is on.

Yeah, IMO it removes the "need to stack" issue you run into with a Muff circuit.

It's made from chipboard. All of this overpricing of cheap-ass teisco/silvertone/whatever guitars needs to stop.

It was one thing when the Sunn amps went up in value - they are well made and they actually sound really good. There is no redeeming value to these types of instruments.

I considered it but I'm going to hold out for that VT/ODB combo if it comes to fruition. I'd probably put my VT up for sale at that point.

I'd be using the bb for the treble side. Bassy sides clean or maybe a joyo ultimate drive.

Pharaoh has GE, Si, and bypass. Bypass was way hot. I never used it cause I always stack. This statement is applicable in what I encountered.

I bought a custom German import Warwick corvette for $470 used (well played by a slapper), put some love into it, and sold it for $600. Why people think these crazy weirdo guitar brands are worth these prices, I'll never know. There was a gibby victory in my birth year with the dual pickups, red and rosewood with black pickguard, for that exact amount. I'd pay closer to 200 max for any of the weird brands. I'm not a collector so I don't know what they might be worth in that market, but to me, it's novelty at best. There was a short scale Atlas brand SG bass for $250 some years back. MIJ from the mid 70s. Was lightweight and all that. Sold pretty quick. I think the MIJ stuff from some of the nicer factories can be gems, I just paid $40 for that FrankenP. It's so sweet, my guitar player asked I use it as #1. It really sounds killer with the ultimate drive. Goes with rat if I turn tone knob almost all the way down. Rat stacks really well with ultimate drive at normal UD tone levels. I do use rat a base for some songs and rolling the knob has worked both for practice and live, switching back and forth and adjusting tone on fly. Really just need to book a show already. Trying to get the something local before year is out. Think we might be getting a show with TimmGrimm's band soon.
