This does give you the chance to have your final release be better than the leaked version.
Fellas, I use to be a fairly active member of this board but life happens. I have a question and I don't feel like hearing the usual "it's 2014, you don't need all that gear." If any thread on TB can empathize, it will be y'all.
I was in an accident and may have totaled my truck this weekend (no injuries). That said, I need a new vehicle and I'd like one that my band can fit in. We are a three piece with
-2 ampeg 810's
-sunn 300t
-2 4x12's
-Mesa dual red
-2 pedalboards
-fairly large drum kit
I'm trying to avoid a full sized van. Does anyone have experience with a Chevy Astro van or gmc safari (I'm on a budget and like the AWD option). Maybe a pickup with a cap?
So my BB doesn't have the tonal bypass mod but I want to do it. With that switch you can eliminate all of the mid scoop right?
I thought it was determined there WAS no mid scoop, unless you have bass and treble controls vastly far apart, that is. Didn't we? Or did I imagine that?
the big muff tone stack does produce a mid scoop. bypassing it will provide a lot more mids to the BB.
But do you really need AWD? I get it your on CO but any AWD = more things that need maintenance. Another angel is truck and cargo trailer. I personally would go Full Size Van just to keep it all contained under four wheels and not be limited by state trailer speed limits or restrictions.Fellas, I use to be a fairly active member of this board but life happens. Filled my flask to take to practice and took a couple pulls off the bottle before I left, super smooth. Long story short I was at the jam too long running my mouth, flask is empty, 4 hours sleep, and back up for work. On another note put the 105-50 on the brown ric and it felt ok and sounded really good at practice. It may have beat out the P bass for this band. Still early to tell.Isn't it? My blue collar to the bone father in law usually refuses to drink any bottle of whiskey over $15 and I've even got him on board! Great price, can be used for Manhattans, super smooth by itself, and if you wanna get hammered it is great!
I bought it on a whim one year on my way to a Billows house show in Baltimore. For some reason we got there like 7 hours before we had to gig because people were partying pretty hard. I started drinking from the bottle. About half way through my guitarist and singer had to start drinking so I wouldn't drink the whole bottle, which resulted in all of us being borderline black out drunk before playing in someone's living room. Drunkest I have ever played haha.
Hey, I've been reading following this thread for a few months. Read the entire thing, but never really felt like joining in. Not a super talented musician, and have never played in a band. Thought you were a cool bunch and figured that if I had any questions about anything bass, I'd rather ask you guys than scour the forums for other people's opinions when they don't have similar taste or musical goals.
Welcome new people!!!
Laz buy the 300t do it.
I got nothing else.
Kind of a stupid question, but what is your guys' process for buying things off craigslist? You always want to test something out before you buy it, but people aren't always comfortable with you going to their house to try it out.
****, i forgot how tiring shoveling snow is... and/or I'm way out of shape.
Speaking of on-board SS Peavey distortion, I'm not too keen on my F800's built-in OD. I did once get a tone I liked, I think by running an El Oso into the head with the head's OD cranked.
Do any of you guys have issues with mic clipping and hand held recorders? Despite setting the gain appropriately to make sure the preamp never clips, we get these static pops/clips in our recordings every practice. For the longest time I thought it was a loose wire in my H2 or something, but we tried an H1 and the same thing happens. During one of our songs where we play very quiet and low, no pops. So I'm thinking despite the gain being set properly, the sheer volume of our amps is just too much for a portable recorder.
I'm going to try putting it as far away as possible next time, but our room isn't that big. Would upgrading to something like an H4 help this, or is that just additional features and capabilities?
Is it a general preorder or just for the cthulhu?Put my preorder in for the special edition cthulhu fuzz that Nick posted of FB. Pumped.
Rumor has it we close early with pay tomorrow. Negative, I think my toddler has UTI. Keeps grabbing himself and hurts when going #1. Little trooper is potty training and he still high fives me, in tears, after going on the big boy potty.
Can this weekend start already?
Fixed.Bummer that happened to Micah, I had to tell him not to use TP after number 1. Hope your little guy's little guy heals fast.
Whew! Heading to Costa Rica for work in the morning... Forgot to look at what kind of power they deliver and plug types! Lucky for me it's the same as the states! I didn't pick up an adapter kit. Happy Turkey Day gang!

His stuff is awesome but I'm not joining FB to be able to buy from him.

Gotcha, thanks dude.Sounded very cool from the description.
The preorder was just for the SE Cthulhu.
Bryce, Sonny did mine and shipped it back for $20 bucks. It only took like two weeks, not like waiting for a new BB. Send it to him.Cool that's what I thought. I need to do that did sure if anyone has a diagram or just a gut shot for me to emulate.
I Want all the mids I can get out of the jazz bridge/ormat side.
