Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Well that sucks for some. Been on the browser for a while though. The app hasn't worked right on my phone since I updated to new software. The issues they say this might resolve are pretty important to me so it's worth it.

Ok I'm getting used to the mobile site, I can't quit you guys :). So last night I took my white P with the 70's PAF model p and I couldnt get a sweet sound from it. I was running the SVT flat with some bass boosted and a 810. I tried scooping mids, turning down the treble, and rolling the tone. Nothing was sounding right. Thinking of putting in the hanson vintage pickup I have I. It . I have a used set of rounds on it now and the last 2 sets of flats didn't sound that good. Thoughts?

Ultra low off, bass at 12 mid selector to 1k or thereabouts and start increasing mids until you like the grind.
I've been boosting the heck out of my mids with my PAF P for a bit. It's different.

Ultra high and low are off an the mid is on The middle of the rocker. Can't hear too much a difference when the mid knob is at noon anyway. I'm not looking for a grind it's actually the easiest tone I can get since its been my "go to" sound for so long. Looking for more a R&B tubby kind of tone.
And you plug in with the amp at noon and you aren't there?
What's your strong choice?

So tried the bass VI with the full rig and full volume but not in a band situation just diddling around...definitley an interesting instrument, its going to take some time to figure out how to exactly use it, before i can fully comment. The fit and play ability is great. I definitely need some flats in this thing and a new bridge.

Im gonna order some la bella flats for it but is there a replacement bridge with rollers out there specifically for these or are you using parts for a jazzmaster or jaguar?

Also finally finished my pedalboard. So its not just two planks loose. Made the backed piece raised so i could free board space by putting the power supply under it.

What 810 is in the middle and what cab's on the far right?

Never used the app, just the mobile site via Chrome on my iPhone. Works relatively glitch-free.

I don't use the app, I just look on my Android phone...so I guess mobile site? Maybe just the desktop, I don't usually like the way most mobile sites work on my phone and set preferences for the desktop version.

A drummer emailed me to tell me he saw an ad I put up a while ago, liked my jams on Soundcloud and is moving here next June. I don't really know what to make of that or if it's even worth sharing, but I just did lol.
