I was going to suggest killing a high class male prostitute so you would be dressed smartly.
Working my way up to that, it's my understanding that they won't let me on to the strip unless I can flash 2000 bottle caps.

mic a click through the pa.What's the best/easiest/cheapest way for a loud band to practice playing to a click?

Through the PA should be pretty easy. Can just point one of the PA monitors directly at the drummer so he can hear it OK. We've never played to a click before so of course a month before we're supposed to record I've started looking into itI figure if we start now, that gives us enough time to get used to practicing with one and deciding if we want to record with one. The new songs we wrote are more difficult to play than anything in the past so I want to at least try the click to make studio time go smoother.
It's ok to cheap out on speakon cables right?
The drummer in my last band always played to a click, the rest of us never needed to listen to it because it was always guiding the drums.
A lot of metronomes have lights that indicate the "1" and sometimes the off beats. That can be helpful to a drummer if the rest of the band is very loud and it's hard to hear the click.
But buy the actual Neutrik connectors. I've read reports about the off brands breaking off in the female parts. If by "cheap out", you mean build your own, then yes.
