I had the same thought. To me, the Ultra Low is engaged when the switch is in the down position.

Yeah that’s what I thought too. I usually turn Ultra Low off on any SVT circuit, but the S300’s is more useable than most.

Looks like a consensus on the Ultra Lo switch.
I would usually avoid Ultra Lo, but it could be fun to engage (typically with a mid-forward bass such as a P-bass) and then voice midrange via the Vari-Mid. This could help bass find its optimum spot in the mix along with guitar(s), etc. The 5-position mid offers more possibilities than the original 3-position, obviously.

I'm just absorbing all the info being shared here as I wait for my Mid-April shipment. I'll be experimenting with it on several different amp/cabinet combinations but mostly on my small venue/rehearsal rig which is a Hartke KickBack 15. Other possibilities are my MarkBass Tube 800 with either my 212Ninja or NY115 cabinet and a small possibility it will combine my WT400 and XLT410 rig.
Any way I look at it, it will be a welcome addition.

According to Canada Post, ETA on mine is 3/25. Who knows? It'll get here when it gets here.
As for my plans, I'll begin with a thorough workout through my home rehearsal combo: Super 300 by itself at first, and eventually I'll try stacking it with other ODs.
After a loooooong layoff I've picked up some outdoor gigs starting in April. For those I will run Super 300 through a Reiner Amplification hybrid head: a boutique with class D power and all-tube hand-wired preamp. It's essentially neutral, tonally, and has some harmonic sweetness from the tubes. Speakers will probably be my Reiner 2x12 which has a really great vintage sealed cab vibe. That said, my first two gigs have an easy load-in, so I may use my Bergantino NV610 which has all the goodness of the classic Ampeg 8x10 in a smaller, lighter box (though at 100lbs it's no featherweight). A 6x10 is more than I need with this particular band, even outdoors, but the cab sounds great at lower volumes too. I'll just have to reassure my bandmates that I won't abuse my superpowers!

You can get some great tones by turning Ultra Lo on and boosting the mids. It's hard to find a bad setting with this pedal.
agreed. This is a gamechanging pedal and one of the best bass pres of all time IMO. There isn't a bad sound to be had and it has the most bass of any non-blended pedal I've played. A total winner all around.

Canada Post tells me the same thing. But the last time I ordered internationally, the overseas postal service stopped updating once the package was transferred to the US package service. So maybe our packages are now on our way to us here in the USA... or maybe they're held up at customs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It should get an update when it's left the country and when it arrives at SFO, released from customs, etc.
the wait is killing me. Probably by the time it gets here, you’ll post another pedal I want to buy. The SF72 is tempting, and if you ever decide to pull the trigger on. Hiwatt preamp, I’ll break again...
I saw Tim post a mockup of a possible Orange AD200 style preamp on Facebook, but I’m with you, I’d be way more into a Hiwatt pedal. I haven’t heard anything that really nails that “Live at Leeds” tone.
my tech 21 Leeds is my favorite pedal, but it has to be first in my chain. For whatever reason, if I run it after other effects, it just totally cancels their effect and it’s all the Leeds pedal sound.
