I've slowly dumped 40 lbs since last November by essentially a south beach diet. Have dropped a prior 20 over a longer period....316 down to 254.
I've learned that carbs and me just don't get along. Learning to view them like "dog food".
I guess this new eating lifestyle is a split between atkins and south beach diets, but I am resigned to the fact that this is permanent, not a diet.
The good news, I'm never hungry. I eat meat, vegetables (plenty), eggs, cheese, nuts, limited whole grain stuff like Kashi. I am an eggoholic. Always thought this was bad. My cholesterol is the lowest its been in years. My goal 200. Steady as she goes.
