TB Noise Compilation V.3

well, frak. i get home tomorrow, so if i get done catching up with friends early enough i might have time to throw together a noise board and try something.

that thought's got me all jiggly for the (way too) long flight home.

nice!

emailed about 4 oclock, hope it gets picked up!

i know that the last 2 comps had tracks attributed to the forum member's name, but i was wondering if anyone would object to the track by me and thunderscreech to be credited to the band that we're starting? This thread did unite us for epic drones, afterall...

So, how does everyone feel about their contributions this time 'round?

I must confess that I felt uneasy about submitting mine. I had waited until the final day, because I was trying to get my hands on a brand new Cusack effect to use... there were some production "delays" (get it?) with the new pedal, but in the end I was able to borrow the prototype (serial # 001) to use for this recording.

Anyhow, while normally I am comfortable with improv, I found this one to be difficult - I had gotten used to mixing and applying effects after the fact. This time I also used a much more lo-fi recording method. I did a couple of takes, with no preparation of any kind, no preconceived ideas, and a brand new untried pedal to work with, so my track should sound quite "raw" and "experimental."

I did find some cool settings for the new pedal though, it has a few pretty exciting modulation settings that I tried to highlight in my track.

I'm eager to hear everyone else's contributions!

ours is...stunning. not really noise, dipping closer to the drone-y end of the ambient spectrum.

we've changed our sound so much since then, actually, added a lot of sound, i almost wish i could submit another 4 minute clip to show the most current stuff. but either way it sounds good.

pedals playing themselves always works out well, IMO.

Aw shucks, thanks. :o I hope my main site is still up! Gotta pay the annual bill pretty soon though...

I haven't done anything new other than this noise comp in probably 6 months. I had a few ideas but they were pretty crap so I never finished them. I need some more inspiration to get ugly apparently, but 2010 has been a very static year for my musical output. I keep buying gear though! :eyebrow:

ok, i only asked because your sig link goes to the myspace now and i can't figureo utthe new myspace layout...bleh. between myspace being useless now, and facebook not wanting to function for us, the only site i even have up for mw and TS's project is ReverbNation, which is NOT designed for avant-garde music..."but we don't HAVE tshirts!"
