Team Trace Elliott Pt 3

I though it was about time I listed my membership to the good ship Trace Elliot.
I've been using a TE AH400SM head for the last 12 years of bass playing. It's been reliable, loud, heavy and I just love the UV light on the front.
It really excells when I hook up a pair of cabs to it (I built my own, a 1x12 and a 1x15using 400w Eminence drivers) and the sound is great.

I really wish there was somewhere I could hear the new 1084h sealed 8x10 cabs. I've always liked trace cabs and now that they are bracing them better, I'd bet the 8x10 would kill any other sealed 8x10 cabs for tone and output. I would actually think about moving one around because it would probably be worth it. I wonder how is would compare to the nv610? With horn off I'll bet it would be alittle brighter and more even.

I haven't tried the 1084H, but Link Removedtested really well. Of course, plenty of differences between those two cabs, but I was impressed by the new 2x10, even after comparing it to some nice "vintage" Trace cabs.

Hi All, new member here, just got an AH200 GP12 Series 6 head, love it so far !! Small question to you guys, i have a Trace 1518T Cab and a Bag End D10x-D 2x10 Co-Ax Cab, i need to get rid of one of the two cabs, we're moving so i need to downsize, any suggestions ?

FYI, am not a pro player, i play mostly rock/heavy music, active 4 string with Humbuckers

P.S. Can i get a number ?

For most gigs, the 4x10 is enough, but let's face it, we all look forward to the bigger gigs that warrant the full stack. Last night's show-first time for my AH300 GP12 on the full stack-WOW

I need your opinion: I currently use a V6 (which I just bought) with 1248h (the last 2x10) and 1518 (1x15) from the 1990s.
I had a 1048 4x10 early 90's, sold as too heavy (44kg).
By changing a 4x10 for a 2x10 I lost presence in the lower midrange.
For information, I play classic rock and heavy rock on a MusicMan Sterling 5.
What would be the best compromise for a good balance for a good rock sound?
- My old 1x15 (1518) with a new 4x10 (1048H) or
- The new 2x15 (1528) with my 2x10 (1028H)?

Hey everybody! I'm completely broke (damn!) but I found a classified ad from a city nearby of a guy selling... listen well... here it comes... he's selling one 1048, one 1518 and a Quatra valve head for 1400$. You don't see these things where I live very often. I guess I just have to be patient and in four or five years the new owner will feel like selling it again. Arrrgg!

Post a pic of your rig! Would you like a team number to display?

That would be great...one AH 400 SM pictured. The cab is a custom 1x12 which I built myself and covered in green flock. It has a nice tone and it's rated at 400w rms, 99db/w/m.
I have a second Cab which I rarely use, it's a 1x15 and it's a bit bigger and a fair bit louder spl of 103db/w/m but it's heavier and harder to handle so it mostly lives in my garage these days.

Here's a wide shot of my fretless, TE amp, 1x12 cab and Boss pedal board.
