On Christmass Day GC had an online sale of 15% off selected brands. Acoustic was one of the brands included so I pulled the trigger on 260 mini stack. It arrived yesterday and, so far, I'm really pleased - exceeds my expectations. :)

I don't have any photos yet, but the Serial # is 09382056.

Can I pleae get a Club#?

I recently purchased the B200H head along with the B115 cab, but I'm having issues with the cab. There's some incessant, annoying rattling in the back plate due to pressure in the chassis when I play at high volumes. I've tried playing this head through the Acoustic B410 cab, but experienced similar issues. I am considering upgrading to a new cab to eliminate this issue, but am unsure about compatibility. Because the consensus seems to be that the B200H head is a decent unit, and I'm on a budget, I would like to keep it. I'm considering pairing this head with the SVT-410HE cab by Ampeg. Would these units be compatible? I noticed a dial on the back of the cab that limits Ohms, and am wondering what that would need to be set at. I know I may not be utilizing the amp's full potential, but would this pairing be louder, give me more "headroom" than my previous rig? Also, I know this is subjective, but do you think these units would even sound good together? The staff at GC couldn't me a definite answer, so I went here to you good folks for advice. I'm satisfied with my head, but am wondering if my cab upgrade could help me on my search for a truer sound (Son Volt, anyone?).

Sorry if I've violated any etiquette, but I'm really frustrated and would like some help. Thank you, feel free to PM! Here are the specs on this potential pairing:

yajrennat -

I'm not clear if your problem is with your amp or your cab. In any event, rattling is often csused by loose screws. I suggest you tighten all screws in both cab and head and see if that helps.

The Acoustic B200 head should be a good match for the Ampeg 410HE cab: the B200 puts out 200w @ 4 ohms and the 410HE is a 4 ohm cab with 500w handling. Kinda strange that the people at GC couldn't tell you this.

The dial on the rear panel of the 410HE adjusts the frequency response of the 1" horn tweeter. It has nothing to do with ohms.

Thanks for the response, Mike. The problem is the cab, specifically the plate on the back. It's a mechanical problem, and I think it simply has to do with the construction and design of the cabinet. Others have fixed the problem by cutting a port hole in the amp to allow air to escape. The dudes at GC tried to be helpful but couldn't really answer clearly whether this setup would work. I kinda got frustrated when the dude bailed on me for a smoke...
