I have always wanted a Deluxe Jazz. When they made it possible to be passive or active with the flick of a switch, I bought one. Probably the best instrument purchase I have ever made. All the way from opening the case, pulling it out and strapping it on to playing it, I have no regrets.

Now I have an SR500F, and I would't mind a higher model--especially if it was fretless.
But I have my dream bass--more or less.

The only bass I currently own is an SR500, and it is absolutely incredible. The next bass for me will more than likely be a 5 string SR, maybe a model or two up from the 500

Honestly, I'm afraid to! I can control my GAS from online, but in person, it's an evil disease. I'm still very, very new to bass, so I found out about a new high end company every day.

My sr500 is 10 yrs old, korea with wenge neck. I got it scratch and dent for a ridiculous low price. The wenge gives it a Warwick ish character. It is a fine backup to my FNA. Most Warwick necks are chunkier front to back, so the ibanez has a different feel. You see many people rocking the $600 range ibanez, its a good value. The Warwick is much more solid though, that's for sure.

Best $200 on a bass I ever spent, that SR500

See, I played guitar for a few years before switching to bass, so the thinner necks on the Ibanez makes me feel right at home. That, and I love how they do their neck joints, among other things

EADGCF or BEADGC with flats. I was looking for a while, but ended up getting a kiesel Vader. It's perfect aside from being silent unplugged.

Maybe something closer to a guitarron, but with more frets and a cutaway.
