Thinking about it broadly, discussions about speaker size, string type, neck dive, straps, amp stands, & al. evoke the fairy tale The Princess and the Pea.

I don’t use anything at all, and I’ve never had a strap come loose.
Hey Michael, thanks for missing me! I can totally see what you mean about an acoustic guitar (or bass) being more personal than maybe any other stringed instrument played by the masses. good luck with your Washburn reunion.
As for Strap Locks, and I've always been curious about those Fenders you showed, they've been on all my guitars/basses for so long now if they're not, I don't feel right. I play sitting down for the most part, even during gigs, so the position challenge you wrote about doesn't seem to affect me at all. I like the insurance of knowing if the bass is careening down a ravine, the strap and me will be joining it! I also love the idea of moving a strap to a different instrument at a second's notice. Call me "Lazy" and I'll probably answer you.
I'm gonna audition that same Marcus Miller combo to see if it'll sound good with my Tele. It's got a tweeter and a small speaker, so why not give it a try? The competition that I plan on running over vacation will be the PBJ and my Vox SuperBeetle rig. I actually think that little devil may deliver me the most mojo out of all of them. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

Sir wraub, so nice to hear from ya! And wouldn't ya know it, you're joining us in the hot topic of the moment...guitars and amps. It's all my fault, I blame no one else, but ya post a Tele on the board and receive all kinds of positive comments. I promise the mods we'll get back to bass business very soon, but it is a nice break.
Speaking of your Katana, it's on my shortlist 'cuz papa needs a proper guitar amp next year. I owned the 50 myself and really enjoyed everything about it. It's now in the possession of my nephew and he won't let it out of his sight! Depending on how I fare with the selling of some gear, I'm kicking around the 100 Mk ii or, if Aunt Gerty finally passes, maybe the Katana Artist and call that my retirement gift. I'd love the Fender Vibro Champ (my first amp back in the 70s), but the modelers fit my purpose so much better, kind of like you said. Enjoy the heck out of it and thanks again for stopping by!

Here's what I've been using, as I said. As for permanency, I leave the holders on even when selling it. I always tell the new owner and recommend their use as well. Regardless, they're a lot better than the toothpick-width screws from the factory.
Nope, Chantal! We like it for the purple color and lower-sounding whistle than our Revere ware kettle.

Yep, I've used my little Double Four with my Carvin Bolt (Strat-copy) guitar and it sounds great! Will be interested to hear your take with your Tele.
And I will let you know, my compadre. I looked at it last night and asked myself, "Why not?" The mids are its wheelhouse and it can loud when called upon. The tone is so neutral I figured my vox pedal will set the pace, plus I can run the line out and get what I hope is a decent recording. Thanks for the unsolicited endorsement, RR.

I've used Schaller strap locks since the early '90s. Never felt comfortable without some kind of lock.
I've tried others, but Schallers have stayed my favorites.
The only thing I don't like about the current version of them is that they don't make that nice clicking sound when they lock in, like the older ones did.
I LOVE the rich full sound of my guitars thru a bass amp! My Rumble Studio, like your Stage, has some very guitar-ish effects on it, too!
I'm with you, Michael. Those rubber washer blocks work for me! 
Yeah, ya just gotta have lotsa effects for guitar. Love my Fender Cyber-Deluxe. 
All my guitars feel very personal, but the acoustics really resonate with me, in more ways than one.
Ya might try a new Fender Mustang GTX modeler, Iago. After all, it's the guitar version of your Rumble Stage bass modeling amp. Even uses the same Fender Tone App on your phone or tablet to control it. .

As mentioned in a previous post, we have more in common right now than not. While instruments have sat pretty much idle this past week, my Squier Tele currently owns the spotlight because of its recent appearance. I hope to do a setup this weekend, replacing the stock saddles with brass ones and sticking on a set of Ernie Ball Colbalts because I've read such great things about them. Oh yeah, a set of Dunlop brass strap locks (recommended by said club dominatrix) to class it up a bit. Other than the fact Squier added enough orange on this axe to make our former president envious, it's looks and feels like a winner!
Other than having to get used to the tiny neck (my Beatle bass' neck is gigantic in comparison) and more weight compared to my Chinese Tele back in '16, she sounds great. I've got my Stage 800 up right now and it isn't sounding half bad if I do say so myself. The combo I plan to use after setting it up, and this will make Rod smile, is my PBJ. I have a hunch that 'lil guy will sound terrific along with my new Vox FX pedal. I'm holding off on an amp for right now because I want to take the time to shop and since I'm getting back into shape again, I figured I didn't need one.
Have fun, Tele, and I'll do the same. We'll comaper notes down the road. BTW, absolutely love your British Vox combo. Plug a bass into it at low volume and let us know how it sounds. That way you can enhance your standing here and impress the pundits.

If it can be done with your tele, a four-way switch is a nice addition that makes it sound fatter by connecting the two pickups in series.

Of course, I also have 3 of the more traditional 6 string models in the 'octave up' range, so I'm not throwing stones. In fact, maybe I should go check out the corner you mentioned...
@KaraQ @StatesideRambler @iagtrplyr totally get what your saying! The strap locks are just the way you’ve always done it. Most guitar players I know use them. It’s become the norm and you wouldn’t do it any other way. It would feel just as wrong to you without them as they do to me with them. I get that. I can see the convenience of being able to switch from guitar to guitar with the same strap easily too. To each his own. Their not for me. Whatever works!
@iagtrplyr I think that Marcus Miller combo could be great for your new tele! Like @G-Dog said bass amps can be great for 6 string guitars. Big full sound. But I think a good guitar centered pedal or two would be good. Let us know.

It’s true right @G-Dog and @iagtrplyr acoustic guitars are especially unique I think. You can build the same model guitar by the same manufacturer with the same top, sides, back and neck and each one will have its own unique sound. I think electric guitars and basses are different. They are all “individuals” but not as much as acoustics.
