Took my Ampeg RB108 back to Guitar Center this morning and exchanged it for an RB112.. such a great sounding lil combo IMO (and now I want a 2x10 LOL) :bassist: The 108 was no slouch but I really wanted the extra controls & DI Out.

Thank you so very much, BB, nice hearing from you! I'm now the former FL as Miles replaced me on New Year's. I've hardly had the time to be around much either, but that hopefully changes in 19 days or so. We're slowly adding recorded music to our collection and are currently working on "Fly Me to the Moon," which has gained new popularity on YT. #2 and I are enjoying the time we're able to work together on the playing/recording of music and it's opened up a whole new direction for us. Thanks again for listening and commenting! :hyper:

Sadly, my combos are sitting idly by waiting for my Ampeg 20T and PF-112 HLF rig. I've had it now for a month or so and may never record with anything ever again, though the group I have are all decent recording amps. At the risk of sounding like a former FL snob, the tube thing is real. All of my strings ring at the same volume now; never enjoyed that before. The tone is sublime and makes you wanna keep playing with no ear fatigue at all. I can get every sound I want out of it at a volume that's still way louder than this room will handle. It is, without a doubt, the best sounding amp I've ever owned and the 112 cabinet is the perfect compliment. No, these probably won't go outside these walls to perform, but what I'm getting right now is all I've ever wanted my bass to sound like.

Combos for playing out though, yep! :thumbsup:

I'll be around, keep the club moving forward, everyone!

Grabbed a screenie from a video. It's the usual ... DI from the PJB Combo. That new Rocket @cataract traded up to has a DI. Ampeg + post EQ DI :drool: You just know I'd be recording from the Ampeg BA108v2+ behind me if it had a DI (and silent mode).

edit. What I actually did was use the Ampeg BA108v2+ headphone out for a metronome click track as I recorded the bass from the PJB. So technically, two combos in action here.

Chill, dude. Be cool. Like me. Like Alaska. The high today here in Eagle River was 55, which makes the internet sluggish. It’s not like back home where it was about 100 today, and the internet, like a rattler, slithers along at high speed to get off the pavement into cool sand as quick as possible.

Meanwhile, BlackWolf is already a member - #276 (as shown on the Combo Club Membership page).
