Where would a person find some of these books? After all, I'm a fan of Harry Potter.
The carburetor is on the mower, and I didn't get very far on the car repair. To be honest, I spent too much time playing songs after my friend left, and that took time away from my chores. But the basses and combo just sounded so good together!

I am so happy that I am retired. I can pick my times to drive in order to pick up odds and ends. I can schedule driving for the most efficient routes. I would hate to have to commute to work and pay for the gas while I idle in rush hours.

Working from home has allowed that as well. We probably have to start showing up at the office again soon, but only two days a werk.
The only office I have to show up to is my own. I can handle those few footsteps...no driving

Way back 23 years ago, I worked at a place just SE of downtown and I lived in a suburb so that it took me about 15 minutes each way to drive. Not bad at all. When we were looking for our first house, I said, 'let's look near where I work,' and so we did.
TL;DR : I have lived within a 10 minute walk from work for 23 years.
When I hear my coworkers complain about gas prices, I point out the houses in my neighborhood which are for sale. Yes, I'm a total jerk that way.
I downloaded WinISD and started playing with it using my Studio 8's specs and the FaitalPRO 8FE200 I installed in it. I don't have the scientific measuring setup to confirm what the speaker did for the amp, but to the best of my knowledge, it seemed correct.
One thing I found a little odd with the amp is the port tube to nowhere. It has a 3" i.d. tube the starts at the opening in the back to the front baffle. No opening inside the amp. WinISD showed that a 3" port 5.623" would give me a tuning of 52 Hz, which boosted the low end of the curve. While this isn't a high wattage 8X10, it did significantly boost the low-mid to low end (below 200Hz), giving a better tone for around the house. I also stuffed more Poly-Fil in the cab, which seemed to smooth out the little bit of muddiness the amp had.
Comparison of the transfer function curves:
I did have to tweak my amp settings, but now the bass sounds fit better when playing along with my powered studio monitors.

Our office is downtown. Several years ago, condos within walking distance were going for half a million. I'm betting prices have only gone up. A house near enough to walk is out of the question. I'm hoping to retire in the next few years, anyway.

Looks like Best Grand Music is a Chinese company that is cloning these guitar amps. Anyway, read about Dumble and you'll find that they are one of the most sought after custom made guitar amps. Cloning them for mass production strikes me as somewhat of a counterfeiting operation... (??)
