Building products similar to others' products seems to be a common enough business practice. Just look at Ampeg's new Rocket Bass amps compared to the Rumbles! But, in this case, some more obvious re-labeling directly on the product would seem to be more "above board." At least the product description on the website states that it is cloned, which is a step in the right direction from counterfeiting.

Well if he...er, they would make a light weight 2x12, 8ohm bass cab...(but who would they "clone"?)

I’m a big proponent of 8 is the new 10. But if you’re going from 12” speakers I think you’ll find the 8” to be a bit on the thin side. Also isn’t GK known for a very dark tone?

The Elf is going to sound and behave rather differently from the GK combos.

I have an 18" speaker in my Carvin cabinet, and Hartke 410 to stack on top. So I have the ability to move plenty of air if I need to.

Looking for something that slots in between my Double Four and my tower of doom. Probably won't need this much power at all until sometime next year, if ever. But fun to ponder.

I think a 2X10 should be perfect for what you want.

I have the 1x10 and have been very happy with it. I will be using with Full band/Full PA support this weekend should know then if I am going to require the ext cab. At this point I am not thinking i will but we will see.

We each have somewhat different needs. Our band hasn't had PA support since 2015, and none of the places we play have PA's other than ceiling mounted speakers for announcements*, so I hafta equip myself accordingly.

*"will the owner of the white Camry..."

Looks to be the 35 W model? I have 70 W already, so I'm looking for about 150-300 W, and light weight.

The specs on the amp I'm considering replacing:
150 W into 4 ohms
12" speaker
13.5" wide, 8.5" deep, 16" tall
26 lbs.

Specs on the combo I'm looking at:
200 W
10" speaker
12" wide, 14" deep, 13.3" tall
18 lbs.

Combos less than 100 W and more than 30 lbs are right out.
Needs to have an external drive for another cabinet.
