cool and short scale too, would love to have one but $3000? Too much and what bothers me most is the fact that the guitars sell for $899 compared to $3000 for the bass.......

I see the active Vox Starstream basses listed on Reverb for ~ 1K. Might that the passive Starstreams show up ...? The local brick and mortar (still independent) is a Vox dealer.

harp, you at this moment are my all-time favorite replier to one of the many rants I’ve scribed. I thank you sincerely!

Now if I can only come up with a way to change Fender’s mind, then Polish Thunder and all the other lefties would have at least one more choice.

Update on the Ampeg ba210...

For its size and cost, this thing is really good. Pure ampeg and actually loud. I didn’t think it would be this loud, and still sound good. Now, my Barber Linden actually is my tone shaper and the combo of the two is perfect. I am totally happy with this purchase and at this point thinking I may never need a big rig again. The combo does weight 48lbs which isn’t the lightest combo out there. But my back still is kinda happy. Haha

I played yesterday from 6-9 at our local watering holes end of school party. We were on a trailer, facing our park, so social distancing was not a problem for the audience. I used the GK112MB with the extension cab, the 112MBP. So 400 watts totally kicking. I turned one cab to the audience and one cab toward the drummer and I. Very pleased with the setup.

Glad you like it, C7! I had a feeling you might. I’m also happy you found the plentiful volume too. I agree, it is a good representation of the Ampeg tone. If ya ever need it, try finding a 210 cab to go with it and then see what happens!

Oh yeah, I saw a thread here where an owner of an Ampeg added side handles to the cabinet, making it a lot easier to haul. You might think about doing that.

Looks good! That’s a nice setup with a lot of available juice.
