The brown screen threw me off and the tolex vs the vintage checker.

Glad I could offer you a different angle to the situation. My guess is he spray painted the grill (no biggie there) to give it a unique look. I like the black better.

Yeah, the deal isn’t a bad one if you were just starting out and wanted reliable names. For you though, good call taking a pass.

Plenty of power, simple to use, Aux power level (which you’ll like if you use your phone for music), and the wedge-shape design. What’s not to love?

The Ampeg BA108v2 I call mine sees regular duty as a practice amp. And I do believe it's been reasonably ascertained I do practice. That the AUX IN has its own volume level makes my day easier. Arguably the baby 'Peg can hold its own in an acoustic jam, too.

Awesome, I just added that to the short list. This is my second BA actually. I think the other one was the 110, it was easily a decade ago and it was replaced within a month with a 300watt peavey max something or other. I hadn't given ampeg much though in that time frame as I was using peavey, TC electronics, acoustic and now the markbass stuff.

For the level of player that I am and the price range I’m in, anything Fender Rumble or Ampeg BA will get the job done for me.
I mean, it’d be COOL to try an Ampeg SVT or Fender Bassman rig, but at my level of playing, it won’t ever be NECESSARY.
...and of course I know that there are more than two brands of amp makers...
