Like a Martian knows how to play Monopoly. Sheesh.
how was the trip?

Iss our honor and pleasure to be off service to the grand people's Dream of great all-in-one bass amplification. Besides, iss fringe benefits and FL's many generous blandishments makes these positions so desirable, heh, heh, heh ... ...

Right there is that. In fact, I have never considered one of those, because I always figured not needing to worry about that stuff is one of the reasons to buy a combo!Well, um, uh, some combos can drive an extension cab. So what you did could be done with those combos. Fortunately, they don't always need a cab.

After reading all the speculation regarding numbers and trips to Mars.
Consideration has led me to the most effective answer, which is Blue.

Yes,
Is there life on Mars?

But, if the combo is sufficiently powerful, like my Rumble 500, you probably don't have to worry about an extension cab most of the time, if ever. In the 7 years I've had it I only connected an extension cab a very few times for outdoor gigs. And it wasn't even really needed then! But it's nice to know it's available if I ever really do need it!

Yes. One of the things I like about the separates though is the ability to mix and match. Combos always seem to get much larger as the power increases. Wouldn’t it be cool if a maker let you choose the head and speaker combination?I agree with The Dog on this one. I like knowing there's an ext cab output on my Stage 800 in the case I find myself needing it, but any time I've used the Stage in a gig it was the only one needed. One of these days though...
To me, that's the beauty of the combo amp. I love separates too, hence the current avatar, but I'm not crazy about multiple cabinets, an amp head, plus a pedalboard to play in a 700 sq ft classroom. Grab that lightweight combo and go. Even bringing your pedals is still less than hauling everything else, or buy a modeling amp and take it with you!
Isn't playing bass fun?![]()
