You bounce! That's good, keep swinging, sister! You got mojo going your way.
Big heart, big ups!
Big UPS? Does she have a heart like Tony Stark got overseas?

Yikes! Take care.In part, but not because of, one bassist who regularly posts here (pictured at left) is just now home and healing following a small heart attack. Heart is good, and keeping a steady groove.
Hey, thanks for letting me know about Silversun Pickups! They are my kind of band! Panic Switch is officially on my list of songs I'd like to cover in my as-yet-unformed band. That bassline sounds very tricky to keep playing so accurately for nearly all the song.Howdy!
I played last weekend, so off this Sunday (currently on once or twice a month).
But I am working on Silversun Pickups' "Panic Switch", so my combo will have to put up with me practicing that. I've been listening non-stop to it for about three hours to get the timing and all deep down in my soul. 8^) Man, Nikki rocks (OK, so the whole band does, but I play bass).
Also, going to try for my first 50 mile bike ride in decades. Maybe longer, we'll see. I've got a number of 40-45 mile rides under my belt the past few months...
OK, Hi!Our last post was on over 48 hours ago? Sheesh...
We're buried on P. 3 at the bottom, what the heck happened? I'm out at school for one day and the place falls asleep. Or is it because the last poster's moniker was a number and everyone knows that it's bad luck to follow a number-only name? Ah, I don't care, I'll still post right under it. Plus, 000451057947 (wow, that is long) owns a Markbass combo and should be in our club. Post a pic and I'll hand you a number.
So who's got what going on this weekend? Are there any gigs going on? Some recording goals to be reached? Maybe just noodling around with your favorite bass and combo? Let us know!
Have to finish with this one. So I was just reading a thread entitled "Combo Amp for Gigging" and of course, players are recommending their favorite amps, but one particular post made me believe again in Santa. It was from a particular gentleman who recently bought a Hartke combo and loved it. No big deal, right? Except this person was one of those anti-comboites who for what seemed like years poo-pooed combos whenever he had the chance. I replied that we had even sparred over the topic a long time ago.
It did my heart good that common sense had taken over and even if separates are still his bread 'n butter (and that's fine), the combo bass amp proved that it deserves a worthy spot at the table. So I invited him to join the CC and I hope he does. We'll welcome him with open arms, though I want his membership fee doubled...
That's it for me for now. Stop by, say hi, and please tell us what a combo amp is going to do for you this weekend!![]()
It occurs to me I should maybe practice a little tomorrow(Sat.)since I haven't touched a bass since 7/9.(not entirely true-I did take the TBird outside for a pic)OK, Hi!
Now that that's outta the way, gig Sunday (7/25), 2-5 in the afternoon. B'day party for a guy we've done a few gigs for before. Outside(maybe-rain forecast)at the VFW, Jensen Beach, FL. First regular(non old folks home)for all four of us since...uh,...IDK. It'll be fun/interesting to see how much of our material we can remember. I s'pose we coulda had a rehearsal/review...Nah. We honestly don't need to 'cos we've done these numbers so many times. One of the best things about the band is that 3 of us sing leads, so we alternate. All 4 of us sing harmony parts to some degree so it's a pretty full sound. Gear wise for me it'll be the R200c for my amp, but I'm not certain I wanna take the THUNDERBIRD out in the heat/humidity/rainstorm situation. We'll see what the WX forecast looks like Sunday noonish.

Speaking of naps...(yawwwwn).Watching Tokyo 2020 Olympics opening ceremony.
Hey!!! But it’s 2021…..feels…like…never-ending…nap…![]()
Best wishes for a swift recovery! In part, but not because of, one bassist who regularly posts here (pictured at left) is just now home and healing following a small heart attack. Heart is good, and keeping a steady groove.

099451057947, welcome to the Club! In case your name is a prison number or something, don't worry, our membership is for 18 to life.
Seriously, thanks for the request and pic to prove you are playing through a combo and then some. I did a little research on your 'Peg cab and there's some interesting info right here on TB about it from a guy who worked at SLM in the late 90s/early 2000s. He offered a bit of history on it and the reading was informative. Just Google it and it'll pop up first.
Being you own and use that nifty Markbass Players School combo, I hereby award you membership #249. Please add it to your signature and wear it with pride. Sounds like you've got all the firepower you need now to hang with the Mrs. I had a buddy who played in a few bands with me and he ran his Gibson SG into a MusicMan 212 tube combo, and man, was that thing loud! So I can understand your need for a little bit more to compete with.
Thanks again for the request!

Did you actually stop or was it a drive by, hi?Hi....
Impossible, I always saw her as someone with a big heart. Good health to you, Morrighan !small heart attack
I know it's hard to remember a number built up of 12 digits....
But you can also just call him/her #249.![]()

Update: didn't actually practice(still could I s'pose), did do some adjusting and noodling. Still feels like a bass.It occurs to me I should maybe practice a little tomorrow(Sat.)since I haven't touched a bass since 7/9.(not entirely true-I did take the TBird outside for a pic)
