Having played shows for free, I considered getting $20 a night to be a win.Wasn't even a coupla grand in pennies(each anyway). I think. I'm good at number sequences, math? Nope. $87 each. Slightly better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
Of course, your band can actually play, so that probably accounts for the difference!

Folks, we’ve got a whoppa just west of us coming in, so don’t worry if you don’t here from me for a bit. Ironically, it’s exactly one year to the day that the nasty derecho blew through here! Isn’t life interesting?

My gear is great, and I agree that I have great taste in music. I have good taste in friends too, thus my reason for being on Talk Bass!

Hoping that the weather ends up much less noteworthy than is predicted.
Thank you for the well wishes, we survived. It rained pretty hard and we did get some high winds, but no downed trees this time. It looks as if we’ll be getting an encore performance sometime tomorrow. I am it in the mood to go out and clean my currently-neat yard. And yes, I can be a GOF!

Thinking that IS a beauty, and not having a short scale….I found this gem of a Höfner:
Club bass, teacup knobs etc etc, and a green to die for!!!

Everyone needs at least one of these kinds of basses. You have no idea what a hollow-body can do until you actually play one, and once you do you’ll be a fan.
