I play acoustic guitar through my Studio 40 and love it!I have the Rumble 40. Great amp-I like the DI out! Also good for guitar as well.
That’s a Ampeg Rocket Bass 115 he’s playing through.
He has 3 basses there. I am assuming he has a guy who carts all his stuff and sets it up for stuff like this. Billy (who I grew up seeing play in parks and bars and drive thrus etc.) owns the same amp I do. A combo. A Ampeg Rocket Bass 115. And it sounds damm good too. Cool.

Back a-ways we were talking about the DI on our combos. Pre-EQ (see: Foxy Voxy), Post-EQ (effects loop diagrams here) ... The DI on the Rumble 40 being most recently lauded IIRC. And if an amp should have an on-board limiter or compression, and why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings.
And what's the limiter to me? It means my signal doesn't clip at the DAW.
.... disclaimer .... not a video pro. Barely break video amateur. It's a setup of necessity done on the cheap. What I observe is the better the recording, the better to see and hear what's really there. To be of enough quality to want to listen ... and another assignment done.
What's not visible is which of the few hundred million technical problems will bite today? A solid take with no sound, forget to turn on the Webcam, try to record to a full drive, &c down to forever
and hold enough poise after this frustration to get a clean take
so yeah I'm okay with a limiter. One knob, and an on/off switch. It's also PJB ... so many times I've said I could get all my work done with a PJB Double Four. These combos record great IMO.
This is all how lockdown works out here in the Time of the Thing That's Going Around.
