At 345 feet above mean sea level, Britton Hill is Florida's highest natural point. Here in the Pacific Northwest we’ve got compost heaps higher than that.Hills and curves aren't noted features in Florida
I cannot tell a lie(Ok, actually I can), the 'Bird was in the house. The case was in the gigmobile for photo purposes only. And normally the EB-0/case woulda been next to the Bird's case.I can't believe no one commented to GP about his unlatched case. Sometimes you people are more worried about analyzing someone's dreams than saving a T'Bird from being involved in a possible disaster!

My amp couldn't handle the room, so I went through the Markbass they had. Sounded great! I didn't play as much tonight. I probably should have, but wasn't feeling it completely.
My R100 was a little too loud for the room. Had a bass playing friend at the bar tell me. So I turned down...a little.
Just hitting the hay but I wanted to tell you that the violin bass likes my Markbass combo.
Did you bring the full rig tonight or just a part of it? I’m guessing the Traynor cab, but what head?
I hate to tell ya, Doc, but you may have to break down and buy a larger gigging amp for those times when needed. Or at the least, maybe an amp head. I’d ya lived closer I’d loan out whatever you needed.
Must’ve been some decent playing by the other folks to make you wanna sit out. Did ya have fun?

I am deliberating over what to do. I may do nothing, as the new drummer I am playing with has a whole studio and we are going to use IEMs. Part of me wants to buy an amp that is less complicated too. I love my tone, though. I will wait and see.
It was fun for sure. I felt i was making too many mistakes, and my amp not doing the job bothered me. They offered the spot to me, but I passed.
Edit: I should add that the Hofner sounded spectacular!

@GonePlaid has made it clear he loves his Rumble 100 @Doctor Intrepid . And he gigs all the time. I owned one as well (traded it in when I got my Markbass I wish I had kept it) and I loved it to. It’s 22lbs! It’s loud. It’s easy to move. It sounded great. It has a line out for your upcoming studio situation and should work fine for you open mics. It only cost 350 bucks. I mean cmon. For what it does and how easy it is to move and how inexpensive it is why not. I currently own the Rumble 25 that I love for the living room or jamming with just guitar players (no drums) and my Rumble 500 now that will do any situation that I ever find myself in. I love that amp as well. Just my two cents. Good luck!
There's some nice rolling hills in west central FL, north and west of I4. Nothing spectacular, but enuff to make smaller engined vehicles shift(automatically)to a lower gear-or two.#me2 doesn't think so

The edit is the most important part of your post. Mistakes...bah, humbug! It’s the tone coming out that counts. Remember Billy Crystal’s “Fernando” character where I believe his tag line was always, “It is better to have awesome bass tone than it is to feel good!”
Case in point, the PJB has already left the playing stage, being substituted by the Rocket Bass. There’s good clean bass there folks, but not the tone my ears want to hear as I pluck away. OFF WITH ITS HEAD! The experiment had ended, it’s going up FS.
And there may be more going along. Stay tuned. Doc, if ya want any advice about a compact combo they sounds like your multi-tiered rig, let the club know and we’ll put our heads together...before I recommend Ampeg.
Sounds more like a 60s psychedelic band they played at the Monterey Pip Festival right before Janis Joplin and Big Bro went on. Is that what you were thinking, swink?
That’s why we love our combos, Michael. To each his or her own. Your ears are the most important upon deciding what you round best playing through, and also how you sit in the mix too.
