The Combo Club

I found the battery life terrible (not unlike most pedals). An AC power supply is the best way to go unless you are in the boondocks. The Scrambler can be replaced anytime. If I want noise, I will play with broken speakers ;)...JMHO.

Perfect reply, SR! This should get added to our Wiki page and I love Ampeg.

Exalted Fearless Leader's vish iss beink my command! "SCR-DI Battery Life Comment" and "Fearless Leader's Approval" iss now beink enshrined in venerable Combo Club Cyclopædia section of your Combo Club Wiki page.

Had a dream last night that I had a gig which I had no time to prepare for. I remember taking my GK MB150E112 combo, and I was fretting (;)) about what bass to bring. I think I settled on my short scale Samick or else my Nordy. Don't recall. Dreams are funny that way.

Is that gig bag more expensive than the Samick?

I can't believe no one commented to GP about his unlatched case. Sometimes you people are more worried about analyzing someone's dreams than saving a T'Bird from being involved in a possible disaster!

And yes, I am temporarily free of my contractual obligations until tomorrow afternoon. Got my work done for the day and am feeling like a kid in the amp store! With the Rev arriving home last night, there will be jamming galore and maybe a little recording, to boot.

There was gonna be a partial reunion of the 80s rockers, Breakaway, but our rhythm guitarist, who planned on playing with us tonight, had not gotten vacced yet, and with me proverbially glowing with all the close calls I've had in recent weeks, we decided to play it safe. This guy is not only a terrific player but a super nice dude too. We're gonna keep him in mind for down the road though.

RR, going with the Red Breadbox tonight, along with the P-bass. Those together with some compression sounded great just a couple of nights ago during noodling time.

GP, good luck with the gig tonight! :bassist:

So what's the gig bag run? Should we ask him? Should we talk about it without him? Should we steal it? The bag does look nice.

yeah that's what I thought, too. The bag looks kind of nice.

There's likely a lot to be said for a sub- $300 bass the same way there's a lot to be said for a sub- 100 watt combo.

non-critical latch
but yeah first thing I saw before my imagination was drawn to the custom amp stand

Sorry...I was more concerned about the case resting against the amp and hoping he didn't have to make a sharp, right hand turn to flop it over to the other side!

I bet it was when new! I bought it used and paid only about $25 for it. Genuine leather. The bass was $69 and I got a free set-up when I bought it!

As I've said elsewhere, I consider this the best bang for the buck instrument I have.
Edit: Yes, it's a very nice gig bag. I think the little Shorty is spoiled in there.

First thing that came to my mind was that the case was tipping top over bottom...on the way to laying ‘upside Down’. .....
