If you're going to upgrade...consider the pre-amp first. I just swapped the pre in my GB-75 with a 3 band pre out of a Lakland 55-01....o my goodness, what a difference that made. The mids are much much more usable. It took a little bit of drilling for the extra knob, but nothing major. I plan to post some pics once I get my knobs in for it. But defintiely consider that first...the pups are decent and new pups are still going to sound like the preamp once you swap 'em....just my $.02 though...

Yes please do post pics!
I was planning to toally revamp my GB74
Bart Pre Amp
Nordstrand/DiMarzio Pickups...

I want to join the Cort club. Well, I think I do, I really like the look of the Artisan A5 but can't find a shop here that stocks one! Defo want to test it out before buying, looks like I'm gonna have to take a trip to UK/Germany

My Cort Curbow 6 that I purchased from Curbow stringed instruments about four or five years ago. Still smells as good as new. :)

even had it setup by the man himself, Greg Curbow. RIP

These Big Singles have no trouble fitting. The screws are in different locations, however. They're groovy little pickups! Great FUNdamental!

Dr. Cheese, I love Peaveys too! They balance so well and the cheaper Milestone models stand out as some of the best feeling (even with narrow spacing) and sounding basses I've played. They're light and resonant.

has a bart MK-1 pre-amp from a 55-01 in it. What a differnece it made. The original preamp with the "Mid" boost was too harsh for me and with out it on it was a little weak. This pre is very usable. Still have the coil selector switch. Basically, similar set-up to the Lakland 55-02 but in a 34" scale. I would love to throw some Barts in for the Mighty Mite pups to see how it would do...

I joined the Cort club some time ago, but then sold both of my Corts (an A4 and a GB-94) in a fit of temporary insanity :)

I bought a Warwick Corvette, and whilst it's been a nice bass I've realised the error of my ways and I'm going to pick up a new GB-94 in the morning.

They are so nice ;)

(...anyone want to buy a Corvette? :hiding: )
