LOVE THE KUSTOM HEAD!!!!

I am just blown away by what Cort is doing now. I have two old 70's P-Bass Cort copies that are "eh" at best. They were both given to me for free from my drummer, who has gear all over the state at his various relatives houses. Whenever he pays a visit to them, I end up with a bass. So far, only Corts. :hmm:

One is all black (I am getting that today), and the other is poop brown, with the P-Bass and the J-Bass PU's, gold hardware, neck is slightly bowed - I am removing the brown paint from the neck, there is actually some nice arse wood under there!!! They are both "project basses" I am dead-set on making them sound good.

IS that possible? :help:

Anyway, I have an A5 that is pretty cool, and the two projects. But after seeing these pics in this thread, I have to salute their handiwork now. Damn nice.

I always thought their Steinberger style headles was a solid player. I just won this one :hyper: It has the same licenced bridge/tuners. Not bad for the $$$. I have plenty of P pups laying around if it needs a transfusion :)

You know - I was checking out a GB75 schematic today on the Cort website and the preamp for the GB75 looks suspiciously like the MK-1 schematic layout found in the Artisan & other Cort models. Except the PCB has one less hookup area (which would make sense - this being a 2-band EQ with switches for the fixed mid frequencies). If I had to take an educated guess, I'd say the preamp is a modified version of a Bart MK-1 with MightyMite pickups (obviously) instead of the Bart MK-1's. Whatever it is - me likes it. :) Anyone else notice this too or any thoughts about it?
