The Devi Ever Effects Thread - Fuzz ahoy!

Just picked up a Devi Bass Fuzz, and I have to say, I was blown away. This thing is NASTY. I really don't know why it isn't more popular around here. I have a hard time imagining a better gated raspy fuzz for bass.
I also use a Devi bass fuzz, I run it before a messdrive hybrid plus. When I want a purely raspy sound ill just run the devi but if I run it into the messdrive (or any other bass heavy fuzz) I can get a really nice synthy sound similar to time is running out by muse. Love the Devi bass fuzz.
I picked up a second hand Godzilla last weekend. I hadn't heard/read much about how it sounded with bass, but I love the design (cat shooting lasers from its eyes!) so I couldn't resist.
After playing with it for about a week, I have to say, I'm happy with it. It's not the best sounding pedal for bass, but does the trick. You can coax some really snarly weird sounds outta this thing with the right settings. It's extremely loud, makes me want to try it in front a tube amp.
Is the 'bass fuzz' model still being made?

only reason I sold my bass fuzz was I wasnt aware at the time from demo's that it was so gated,... wanted something a bit more versatile and found that the hyperion was just the trick 
You know, I've never heard a demo of the Bass Fuzz / SMBH that really blew me away, and always wondered if they weren't doing the pedal justice. I'd like to check one out in person someday.
not that it helps much but I found my pedal was way different in real life than any demo's,.. I guess the bass you use, rig etc can make a real difference to how it sounds!
Exactly - to say nothing of the way the demo was recorded, the limitations of the playback setup (YouTube, for example), etc. Not to slam on YouTube, of course - I'm just saying that I think the past demos of the Bass Fuzz may not have done the pedal proper justice.
Is the bass fuzz still produced? I didn't see it on the devi ever site and I can't find it anywhere on the dealer's sites for sale either. Where can I find this pedal?
Hey SpaceLord,what`s up with the extra knob and toggle switch on your Ruiner? I only have 2 knobs on mine.
It's no longer being made by Devi. It wasn't originally a Devi circuit. She had licensed it from Mountainking, and the license has expired and the circuit has reverted to Mountainking. I believe he is currently working on making an updated version of it for a new Mountainking pedal.
No it is't. It is one of the most industrial sounding pedals ever made. I don't get low loss anywhere on the dial, it rocks... ect ect ect...
That is the Ruiner (version)!
It was modded by Devi-forumer Torgoslayer to include a starve knob and a toggle that flips between Dark Boost and Ruiner. The starve doesn't do much to the DB, but can result in some pretty interesting results on the Ruiner.
That`s pretty cool! Thanks for filling me in! What kinda cash did it cost to do that? Actually,what gave you the idea to do that mod?

I just got a Vintage Fuzz Master, and it's pretty killah. However, I realized right away that most of the insane loudness of it is in the upper frequencies, which I do not like that way. So I installed a passive tone pot at the end of the circuit, and now it is an insane deep bass machine! Roll off some highs, turn up the volume, and BOOOMMMSSQUELCHHHH. I'll post a pic and some clips fairly soon.
Which is more or less what Devi did to make the Cherry Pop, which has gotten some love around here. It's just a Soda Meiser (which is a similar circuit to the VFM) with a passive tone pot at the end.
found the awesomeness of volume fading in hyperion (mixed with clean) for intro of one of our songs today at band practice...

I picked this up in a trade a couple of weeks ago, and have been trying to find out how many other candy-apple-red metallic boxes were done; googling around, and checking her forum specifically, has come up with no mention at all of such a finish...anyone have any ideas on this, and how I could tell when it was built (there's nothing scribbled inside the box)?
