3 weeks into my order and I can't wait already. 15 weeks is tough :D
what I can say is that it's totally worth it !
Also keep in mind that the bass will sound better over time.

Adrian told me initially "15 weeks but maybe faster". I'm hopeful it might be indeed a bit faster.

Do you guys reckon they're busy at the moment, with the Covid situation? Like, I was able to order a new bass, but I guess a lot of musicians are being careful with their money at the moment, especially those making a living out of music...No gigs, no income!
I'm not a pro musician so I'm lucky to still have a job.

So yeah, I don't know if Maruszczyk have a lot of orders at the moment...

It was 14 weeks for me with a lot of custom stuff on it

Makes me hopeful mine will be ready earlier than the 15 weeks delay.

I remember when I was waiting for my bass.
I did have some cravings for it, but at the same time I understood that even if its late, if its a good bass, then I didn't care :) . I researched what I wanted in a bass for almost a year and a half.

Now it keeps getting better - the first two weeks I loved it but used the strings it came with and didn't set it up.
After two weeks I set it up and put the strings I liked on it and it sounded and played much more to my liking ( the initial strings had the E string too loud somehow when I slapped it ).
The setup is normal to low and since this is my first custom, I was amazed how low I could go and how straight of a neck it could have without any dead spots or buzzing.

Now, as time goes by, the wood isn't as new anymore and it someone transforms to a better sound almost monthly.

Just got my couch shot of this beautiful Paddock 6A. I guess I should finish paying it off and get this bad boy home :roflmao::bassist:

It is interesting to see a similar Paddock to what I have been configuring. After all this time, any thoughts about it? Any ideas on what to improve or what to avoid?

I have been thinking of a 34 inch, 17 mm string spacing. Do they do 52 mm width nut or are they all 54? How thin is the neck?

Thank you

I emailed Adrian today asking for a quote for a 6 string Paddock, to be delivered in Canada. Should I order directly through Public Peace or through a Canadian dealer? Any advice?

Hi, I inquired with a Canadian dealer about that and he told me...

"I will inquire with them for pricing and timeline and get back to you upon receiving a response. We are their preferred dealer in Canada and price and timeline would not be affected. We can ship directly from their workshop upon completion."

In the end, I ordered directly through Public Peace with no issues.

How did that work for you? Would you mind if I PM you about this?

I am waiting for a Sputnik, I have dealed with Adrian before.

Very straightforward, doesn't dance around. Which is good.

This time I am buying through a store, bass direct UK. Because Mark, the owner, accepts basses as part exchange, that's the reason. Also a great guy to deal with, gives fair prices.

The price is the same as I got from the configurator, so I guess the store buys it cheaper from Adrian, which makes total sense.

That doesn't make Adrian be less meticulous, though. He just sent me an email directly regarding the new bass, with a couple of pictures of wood for the top. He only had one of the type I chose, so he sent me the photo and another one from a different wood for me to choose.

Either way, you'll be OK.
