The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

A Question!

I have an Elwood ordered with Adrian. It's been about 1.5 months since his receipt of my deposit and the start of work on the bass. I've sent Adrian a couple of eMails to check-in in the last couple of weeks but haven't had a response. What are your experiences with communication with Adrian?!

Thank you!

In my recent experience, Adrian doesn't respond to "where's my bass" questions at all unless he's running over the time to build that he originally specified....Mine was a little late and he then gave an answer to my query...

His usual thing is to send a pic of the bass to you when it's finished and ready to ship....

Don't panic.....You'll get your bass when it's ready.....:)

Sorry for replying to some old posts here, but I was looking through the forum because the exact same thing happened to me. I got in contact with Adrian and he had me sorted with my order (even though it was sunday evening and I live in the same timezone as he does!) in a matter of hours, incredibly responsive. After a bit over a month now I asked him how long it'd probably take and he didn't respond. I suppose that's "normal", and I'm not worried about anything in particular, but it does feel kinda odd IMO.
Anyway, I'll be part of club maruszczyk here as soon as my custom Jake arrives.

Hey guys, I'll be placing my order for a custom Frog 5a today! Very psyched. Trans blue with flame top, Delano SBC pickups, and a 3-band Delano pre. Shooting for a super clean, neutral platform for solo bass and jazz fusion stuff. And of course, Adrian was very helpful with all of my MANY questions leading up to the order.

Interestingly, I had originally asked for a Glockenklang pre because I love the super high treble freq, but Adrian strongly advised against it because they've had a lot of problems with them in the past. Apparently they're prone to failure and difficult to replace. So I'll see how the Delano sounds, and might someday put a Glock in it anyway.

Got a 15 week build time, probably because I specified every tiny detail down to the knobs. Despite the high-end electronics and heavy customization, the price was shockingly low - less than a USA Music Man. He even let me pick the exact piece of flame maple for the top. It seems to me that his construction methods are also superior to a lot of non-custom stuff in that price range, such as 3 piece maple necks with veneers and graphite support rods.

So yea, I'm hoping for a fantastic bass! I'll post pictures when it arrives :D

Yeah, same here. My Jake costs less than a US standard Fender bass. Then again, many Sandberg models here are also cheaper than Fender stuff. He also mentioned to me that he doesn't use Glockenklang electronics anymore, interesting.

Really looking forward to seeing pics of both basses when they arrive :D

I hope that you're both as happy with yours as I am with mine!

I'll post the couch photo as soon as he sends it to me. It's a 5 string Jake, 35'', 24 frets, ash body, maple fingerboard with ebony dot inlays, matched headstock and hipshot bridge and tuners. In translucent blueburst.

MR Fat Freddy,
What would be the difference between the Caspar and Joker.
Is there any Reason why u went with Joker.
I know Joker is little more expensive and I think it looks nicer than the Caspar .
I was think about getting the Caspar but that Joker sure looks a lot better to my eyes.
Thanks again.
