I have a 412L in Blood Red that I have been touring and recording with since late May...
I love it, replaced my old ampeg 810 and then some. I want to add a 1515L underneath it, crossed over with a subharmonic synth... but that may be overindulgant!

You mean a 1215L?
That is a massive amount of volume. It is going to be punch in the gut killer.
Hi! I am thinking of a Schroeder cab (1210L or 1212L probably). But in that case I need a new (power)amp. At the moment I am using Warwick ProFet 5.1 as poweramp (it's 500W@4Ohm and I play my Tech21 Sansamp BassDriver directly into its FXreturn). This amp clearly will not be enough. I also have an Ampeg SVP-1500, but I'm trying to sell this since it is very heavy and it lacks volume control knobs on the front.
So I was looking through the lightweight heads that could put out this amount of power, but none of them seems up to it. LMII is only 500W@4Ohm, 300W@8Ohm, GB Shuttle is 600W@4Ohm, 375W@8Ohm, Ashdown Little Giant has 2x500W@4Ohm but you cannot bridge it.
My current cab is Ampeg SVT 410-HLF, which I love for its rock sound, but it weighs 50kg! I intend to keep it for larger venues, but a lightweight option would be very handy.
I could grab a 12+L, but I'm afraid it will lack the needed power for gigging. In that case the Little Giant would be nice option to power both my cabs though.
Also I've seen some lightweight Markbass cabs around (a 2x10" 400W 8Ohm is available in a local music store e.g), but these, as I've been told, are not as good as Markbass heads.
Furthermore, I am not sure how much of a "rock sound" Schroeder produces. It is often said to have a lot of (lower) mids, but what about the lows? I play a Stingray 5 and use the B-string quite much.
Anyway, I hope I've painted some picture of my needs. Perhaps anyone of you can help this confused brat. I posted it here, since I am leaning towards Schroeder at the moment and would likes some input from the users (and the abusers) of these cabs.

I bounce back and forth between a few cabs, but lately I've been using my trusty 3101212 at practice. I used to always drive it with my plx1602 bridged at 4 ohms. However, since I didn't really feel like playing with my dip-switches again, I left it single channel, with err, 400w? I think, running into it, and it's still plenty for our levels with two loud guitarists. I think you'd be fine with your setup with a smaller two driver schro. Sure more power can get your more headroom, and it does open these cabs up, but I wouldn't make it a huge priority to get you going.
While I of course have much more speaker area to move air, and while it's not as crisp and responsive down low as say, my accugroove, my schro handles my low G# just fine with ample eq, even at my current way under-powered config.
Most will say the more power the better with these cabs, and I agree, but under isn't going to make them completely impotent either.
My two heads are 400 and 480 watts and they sound just great through my Schroeder 410 Light (which handles 1,200 watts RMS), and I can quite literally drown out my hard hitting drummer. I think one misconception with Schroeder cabinets is that you have to give them a lot of power. Oh sure, I've heard 750 and 1,000 watt heads through them and they sound great, but it isn't necessary. I ran a 60 watt head through a 1212 for a bit, sounded awesome. Freakin' loud 60 watts, too.
Also, I don't consider a Rock Sound to have a lot of lows, but I've never felt that Schroeders lack in that department. Others may disagree. I'm a rock bassist and these cabinets have been the sole indispensable portion of my arsenal over the last 3 years. Not for everyone, definitely for me. Very coloured cabinets.
Finally, hey hey, while I'm here, anyone have experience with a 610 compared to a 412? I'm considering taking the Big Cab plunge. I've already sent a message off to Jorg, and it'll be awhile before I get one, but figured I'd ask anyhow. I'll read through the thread later, for all I know there was a 3,000 word comparison just yesterday!
hey guys! im a fan of Schroeders cab too!aint got one yet,but im working on it..witch cab will fit to me the 1212L or 1215L? i recentely bougth an Eden WT405 from ebay(never listened one Eden WT405 or Schroeder cab) i mostely play jazz with Dbass and rock 70s 80s on Pbass and Musicman 77 fretless,here in Portugal i believe i will be the first to have one Schroeder... :-/ can you help me chosing? thanks Pedro

The 1212L will cut better and be slightly lighter while the 1215 will sound rounder. I recently bought a 1515L and owned a 1212r for a couple years. I personally prefer the 1212 configuration as I find the 15 a little undefined compared to the 12s.

I know officially own a 1010L. I have a 1010R 4 ohm and Jorge sent me a pair of the new Celestions Neo's that he is using. He told me that the sound will be as if I took the blanket off the cab. He mentioned that it might take 2 months to break them and that I would hear an improvement in the lows during this period. So far the sound is a definite improvement and looking forward to seeing what it sounds like in a few months. I am thinking about adding a 15+L to this rig which is being run with a Neopak.

I guess I've never been in the kind of band where I needed it, but in 30 years I've never played with an amp that was more than 400 watts. My Trace is 300 @ 4 ohms, plenty of room to turn up, 1212L sounds awesome.
Just got a Mini 12+ the other day. All I can say is a-m-a-z-i-n-g... the best-sounding cab I have ever owned or played through.
I did have a minor hiccup-- my amp (Gallien Kreuger MB2-500) is 4 ohms and the manual says that it should only be used with a single 4 ohm cab. I accidentally bought the 8 ohm Schroeder (all that MF had). I emailed Jorg on Christmas morning with my concerns and he emailed me back in under a half hour. A HALF HOUR! Everything was taken care of-- apparently Schroeder cabs are so efficient that it shouldn't impact the sound or power of the amp. Far and away the best service I have ever had. Pics coming soon. Get me a club number please!!

4ohms is the MAX impedance. You are fine with an 8 ohm cabinet, though it will not be as loud.
I figured as much. I still hope I'm getting most of the output of the amp. Jorg said that with the high efficiency of his cabs, the difference in power output shouldn't be very big.
