i have (with a lot of help from talkbass members)finished putting the fenton back together.its a little crude compared to my fenders but sounds thunderous and is not tooooo heavy and the narrow string spaceing takes a little getting used to,i will thank all who helped me with this project when i have collated all the names.i am afraid the taliban pureists wont be impressed with some of the liberties i have taken but it is not realy a resturation project but just a nice bass mostly of its time.

Very Interesting! Is everything on this one floating under the pick guard or are some components mounted into the body?

Do you feel that the floating bridge gives it an earthy tone?
Is the body solid? Do tell.

My lovely trio of basses. the Peavey Foundation was my first bass and will probably always be my favorite, the Epi Thunderbird was my second bass and usually serves well for simpler root note playing, and finally the Ibanez SR506 is my third and latest addition. Here are my two basses. The one on the left is a Tokai violin bass and the other one says Rockoon by Kawai. I don't know much about the Rockoon. I bought it because it was only $40. If anyone knows anything about it, I'd love to hear about it. My next bass will be either a Tokai Hard Puncher or a MIJ Fender P-bass
