I like what you did with the shark tooth inlays, looks great! That was my favorite feature of my old Rick 4001.Just finished this build. Found this cheap Jackson JS1M at a pawn shop for $100. It needed some love. In the process of cleaning it up I stumbled upon some some double P builds. I’ve been a fan of Entwhistle for a long time, so reversing the bridge P seemed like a logical choice.
Whipped out the router, made a hole and wired up another P bass I had laying around. Wired up controls as a master volume and a blend knob.
Wasn’t a huge fan of all the black hardware (just not my thing), so I got a chrome bridge and tuners. I also painted the pickup covers because I liked the idea of some cream Dimarzio pickups, but they aren’t in the budget right now.
Not entirely sure about the color, but I am really enjoying the bass so far.
Future plans are possibly getting an LHZ Hazlab preamp.
Now I just need a band to play this with.![]()
