The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

View attachment 2800454 My Chris Larkin Syra Bass. I have back problems, and I needed a lighter bass. Chris had to do a bit of convincing regarding the headless! But he was right, and it's beautifully balanced. Only problem is that the bandleader loves the sound of Fenders, but he doesn't have to wear one on a three hour gig, but a P bass the weight of this (about 7lbs) would be nice!

Just get one of the new PJ Mustang. All the p-sound you need in a lighter and smaller package and it says fender in the headstock.

Something I just put together... Squier VM block and bound neck with custom decal, MIM body with black PG, screws, Gotoh Bridge, pup cover, black Daddario nylon tapes, Custom shop pups with cream covers, Hipshot ultralites, and awesome cat strap!

Heck yeah +1 on the American Special Honeyburst, @MarshallLaw! Maybe my fav player out of Stingrays, jazzes, Ibanez Musician, and 4003. LOVE this bass. Threw on a red tort and some Dimarzio Area Ps with flats and it growls! Best neck evar.

Not sure if these pups are hard to come by these days as i dont heR much about them but they kill!

I love mine! I played one at GC once and fell in love... every bit as great as an American Standard for half the price. I love the unique color and the feel of the satin finish.

My MB90 has DiMarzio Model P's in it and it growls and snarls like a beast.

Seriously good looking bass, complementary color tones.

I think the Area Ps and Model Ps are two different pups from Dimarzio. Dunno the difference though

Not the full collection but definitely a good representation:

Parts PJ bass
Heavily rebuilt short scale jaguar
1979 gibson ripper fretless
