Other than the 4-2-5 conversion, is that just a normal Jetglo 4003 with a Pickguardian replacement black pickguard and bridge pickup plate? Oh, and what kind of black bridge is it? Everything looks kinda dark on my monitor even with the brightness maxed out so it's hard for me to tell.

It looks fantastic.

Thanks. Yup you got it. Pickguardian pickup plate with after market pick guard. Can't recall from who. Bridge is modified Ric chrome bridge. Found a couple pics Jeff Rath shot after the mod.

Man, that thing looks sweet. I've envisioned doing what you've done (except for the 4-2-5) on a Jetglo I have on order right now, but yours is the first bass I've seen that's actually had it done.

So the pickguard itself isn't from Pickguardian? I guess I assumed it was since you have their replacement bridge plate. Was there any reason you didn't get the pickguard from them?

Sorry, I can't really remember. I bought this bass new in '05 and can't recall. It may have been a Pickguardian piece as well. I did get the vintage style knobs from Tony so maybe the pickguard too.

I love this bass! Jeff Rath did a pro conversion. It's no hack job. We played a show at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, CA which is a few miles from the Ric factory. One of the guys at the venue also shapes necks at Ric for his day job. He saw the bass and was blown away.

By the way, I hope none of you are the seller in that auction. From the look of things, Ric is getting their production ramped up to take care of the backorder situation and soon nobody will feel compelled to pay an extra $400.00 to "buy it now" for a new Ric. That kind of greed irks me too. I hope the guy lists it a bunch of times and loses his shirt on the thing :spit:

It looks like it sold?? :hmm: I am assuming that only an international buyer would pay that much. Are new ones really worth this much?!?

Sure looks like it sold at that price, shocking.

I've seen a few posts recently where guys mentioned having had their Ricks delivered early. They're coming! Bet yours is in very soon and you're gonna love it!
