I'm anxiously awaiting the for July to get my new 4003 Midnight Blue and have been looking for pictures to get a good idea of what the color looks like and the color seems to be all over the place.

I saw wademeisters pics of midnight blue and they do look darker (certainly more midnight than any of the others posted here) and just assumed it was one of those colors that was hard to photo but looked really bright under a flash (which I like). But this ebay ad has photos of an '07 4003 with flash and it is really dark.

Can you midnight blue owners tell me which picture best represents the blue? Thanks

By the way, I hope none of you are the seller in that auction. From the look of things, Ric is getting their production ramped up to take care of the backorder situation and soon nobody will feel compelled to pay an extra $400.00 to "buy it now" for a new Ric. That kind of greed irks me too. I hope the guy lists it a bunch of times and loses his shirt on the thing

That's great news dumbdrum! You'll enjoy the heck out of it, I'm sure! If things feel "wonky" out of the box, don't hesitate to do a setup/have one done.
It's also great to hear that Rickenbacker is ramping up production, as much as they can. As long as they can keep their quality consistent (and I believe they can) that's great news for everyone. Exclusivity means squat to me, as long as everyone can get the bass that fits their playing needs!

I've played that bass! It is awesome! and that Marshall through an Ampeg 610 was no slouch either!

Other than the 4-2-5 conversion, is that just a normal Jetglo 4003 with a Pickguardian replacement black pickguard and bridge pickup plate? Oh, and what kind of black bridge is it? Everything looks kinda dark on my monitor even with the brightness maxed out so it's hard for me to tell.

It looks fantastic.
