MK4s and MK5s are the replacements depending on if you have a 4 or five string. They are more powerful and have a more elegant upper register. Bass and mids are mostly the same. At least that's how it was for me.
Note that they have a different screw pattern. No routing is needed but re-drilling is required.

Thanks PDGood. Redrilling isn't a problem. I'm trying to get my 905 more like the Prestige 1005. They were listing the SR1005EFM with "Custom Bartolini Pickups" and I was wondering what model# they were. Everything else is basically the same.

Hey all... Check out my 1st 5er. I think I sold it due to lack of experience w/a 5-string and the tight spacing. Well, now I'm adept with 5ers and can only WISH I had this again! UGH!! :crying:

I have the Bart set that came out of my SR1005EWF (awesome bass btw) at home will be home tomorrow night or Friday and let you know the model number if you'd like?

hey guys,
just got an SRT800x and am really stoked with the sound, shape, weight, and looks! i have played nothing but modulus the last few years but wanted a backup and took a chance and am really happy i did.

question: im actually really interested in the premiere and prestige series. seems like you can find good deals on them on both TB and ebay. doing research i cant find much of a diff in the prem vs prestige other than country manufacturer.

is there something im missing?

Different pickups/electronics as well. The Norstrands in the premiums sound fantastic IMO though.
