Yeah, I drank the Kool-Aid. Been a long time follower.
While having a Bronco worked on at a local shop I knew they had one. I played it and had to get it. Sounds great, setup is perfect. I really couldn’t imagine this would sound so good until I played it , cheers

I love mine and I am in total agreement on how good these are!
Just a little update on my replacement faulty volume pot and wiring. In the end I decided to order and fit two full size CTS pots, cap and jack socket. As OLD- PLAYER says full size pots do fit if you are careful and take your time. However, I had to think about how best I was going to do it. As the bass comes there are two mini pots, volume and tone with the contacts facing each other. I found using full size pots because of the tight fit, it was easiest if the contacts were facing away from each other. At least this is the way I found worked the best for me. The wiring took a bit of careful planning but everything went okay and worked first time. My Mini P is now all back together and working fine. Thanks OLD-PLAYER.

Easiest Mod I have seen. Take the knobs off. I don’t even want to change the PG. Plays smooth and sounds great. Maybe that’s why it was already hanging in the wall at GC. They may have set it up

When you first lay it out, it looks a little scary. But, with some extra TLC it did fit without having to re-solder the connections.

Ah, nothing to crazy. I did a bad-ish job on the paint, but it is spraymax auto paint, with spraymax clear. There is a place in Main called Motor Supply (the one in Waterville) that will mix custom colors and it's pretty fun. And I had extra parts hanging around so there's a Gotoh bridge, Duncan pickup, and Gotoh UL tuners. Those custom La Bella flats are on it, and I used adhesive shelf liner on the pickguard and headstock. It's a fun guy to play!
I'm looking for recommendations please, of flat wound strings that would work on my Mini P. Bearing in mind I'm still using the stock Squier bridge. I would like to use readily available string sets if possible.

D'Addario ECB81S XL Chromes Flatwound Light Short Scale Bass 45-100 on my all-stock black Mini. The E string has a little wind beyond the silk on the tuner, but I installed it carefully and it's good. The other strings are fine. And I do like the noise.
+1 on Chromes. Also silk on saddle and had to adjust the saddle way back for intonation. Love this bass
I've just checked and you're right about silk on the E string saddle. I just scraped the silk back to get metal windings on the saddle, which worked fine.
What's the problem with silk on the saddle? I cut it off on a bass and couldn't hear the difference
