Thanks Sid Fang, I'll contact Status to get the info. Hope you're having a great day. Thanks again.

I don't know if it's always been this way, but the Status preamps I've had always seemed to have the pan and volume "reversed" from what I was used to. For example, the pan would be the knob closest to the neck, volume under the bridge pickup. You may have that as well, I'm not familiar with the older models like that, but it could be what you're experiencing with the "volume click".The volume knob clicks, which is not what I'm used to, and the treble adjustment doesn't seem to have a center point, whereas the bass does.

As for the bass and treble knobs and detents, try taking the knobs off of the pot. If you get the click in the center with the knobs off, put the bass knob back on, then put the treble on but make sure it doesn't come as close to the bass knob. I've had a number of basses where that fixed it.
If that doesn't work, try spraying out the pot with something like Deoxit. Sometimes gunk can mess with the detent, too.
VERY cool bass, I've seen that one come up before and kept trying to convince myself to get it. I just wasn't a fretless guy.
Which one?So YOU are the one who snagged that out from under me on reverb! She was on my watch list. XD Glad it went to a good home. Enjoy it!

Which one?
Mine came direct from Status... great story about how customs fisheries and game held it up for a week - since it is a "bass"![]()
I tell ya, I tried to buy used but these things sell as fast as they're posted! 5'ers are tough to find too...LOL! There was one of these on Reverb a few days ago. Glad it's back in its natural habitat!

I'm still waiting for the promised photos of this one,
This is a cool bass, I was watching the bid as well but backed off on the dual Js (that's never worked for me) but I imagine this thing sounds amazing. The volume and blend are "backwards" from every bass I've had, but I don't really mess with those much, if ever.
I still need to play with it more to really get a good feel for it, but so far I'm appreciating the differences it brings tonally.
Are you kidding? That little collection is worth a *prime* number. But I hand 'em out in pretty strict order of posting of photos, so we'll see. More on this soon...Hey all. I am hoping these beauties get me a club number.
