Just paid the deposit on my first full Status Graphite order: B-2 bass, gloss black lacquer, gold hardware, D-tuner, no LED's. Had a Status Graphite replacement neck on a Fender Precision some years ago which I loved & have wanted a B-2 for some time now. Based on the timeline provided by Rob, I should have it sometime in October!

So this beauty landed here about a week ago...
I'm still early in the honeymoon - and only played through headphones so far- but I'm pretty blown away by the sound!!
The stock preamp apparently crapped out at some point and was replaced with a Delano Sonar 3 MS/E. Not sure i'll ever have any desire to change it. It's transparent and the bass sounds fantastic. The low end definition is excellent, even with the 34" scale.
The neck is wonderful as well. Perhaps slightly thicker than I had hoped but I acclimated quickly. She's maybe a touch heavier than I prefer, but I think I may just have to deal with that.
I normally play a Dingwall Super PJ5 with 19 mm spacing, but I'm finding 18mm quite comfortable with this neck profile.
I can't wait to hear this thing in a mix. Looking forward to more bonding time! May have found a keeper!!

Hey all, here's my Chris Wolstenholme Signature I got sometime in the fall last year. I love it! It's my first Status, and it's definitely a marvel. If I have one small gripe with it is it's somewhat "larger" than other basses I own... Hence it has taken a while to fully find the "sweet spot" of how to hold it with the strap... I wonder if the Series-3 is a better design in terms of comfort than the Series-2...
Nonetheless, it's still an elite-level instrument I love! I live in Canada, and the graphite is a game changer due to the insane weather fluctuations... i.e. current humidity level in my house is over 60%... In the winter, without a full time humidifier running in the room, it can get as low as 10%-15%... Wrecks havoc on wooden necks...

They likely use the same material from Richlite. And I actually bought the "maple" version of the raw material to use on a build. Unfortunately, that build suffered issues before it got built. But I can tell you this: I've worked with both colors and the material is identical, aside from the appearance. It likely wouldn't sound or feel any different than the black version.

In the early honeymoon with this beast of a bass, but I am in love. This is one of the finest players.
Status S2 6 String Left Handed Fretless (unlined).
2011 S2 Fretless Bass 34" scale.
-- Lacewood top, Walnut back, 303 electronics, red side LED's and fresh set of DR Sunbeams.
* The 303 board appears to have been modded on top since its lefty orientation and pots on bottom. Is the silver dial an overall output volume dial? I haven't touched it.

I definitely prefer MK's tone with the T-Bass than with his King basses. A bit closer to the old Jaydee's perhaps? Certainly more robust than the King basses.

Just a heads up to all my fellow Status graphite lovers.
I have on order a standard jazz bass neck with satin finish.
I have decided that I am not going to use it on the project I had planned.
I did not cancel the order with Rob and Dawn as that would be a crappy thing to do since businesses everywhere are suffering and I want to support them.
but I'm just letting you all know that I will be offering this neck for sale here (as well as other places) as soon as I receive it.
I'm not going to discount it and will be selling it for what I paid ($500) but the advantage is that the buyer will not have to wait for a neck to be built and shipped from the UK. It will be right here in the USA.
The buyer will be able get it in a Just a few days
