The Status Register - Official Status Graphite Club

I think it's about time I asked for a number now that I'm on my second Status!
Anyone else have the Electro with the active tone knobs that seems to act almost like a filter?

Curious if anyone has installed Dunlop strap locks?
  • Did you ground down the original screws to fit
  • Or, did you ream/drill out the holes to use the Dunlop screws?
I don't want to force the larger screws as I don't know if it will crack the surface.

Maybe I should put this question on its own thread, but as it's for Status players only, I'm starting it here.

How do the "Tri-Max" pickups compare with the more usual Status soapbars?

Sorry, missed this post. I put Dunlop dual design pins in all 3 locations on my S2, I just screwed them in, didn't have any finish cracking issues. YMMV.

Has anyone been able to get super low action on their Streamline without buzzing above 11th fret? I can't seem to get a flat relief from 3-11 without a bow. Yes, I've followed the FAQ guidance on the Status site but constant adjustment is wearing me out.

It's okay if a flat fingerboard with low action is not possible, I'd just like to hear someone else say it :) or am I missing some trick?

I like nice low action as with my other zero fret setups (like my Skjold, Maruszczyk, Warwick's JAN3, etc) and have not been able to achieve that yet.

If you haven't already dropped a polite enquiry directly to Rob Green at mailATstatus-graphite.com, you really should. The Streamline is an odd beast. It doesn't really have a neck per se. It may well have limitations to tweakability. Is it in the realm where using a heavier gauge of string might help?

Prior to buying my Streamline 5 I was searching for sound samples to hear what the bass sounded like and found very limited examples for the current pickup config.

So I've been doing some scratch track ideation with my Streamline to workout some initial song ideas, so figured I'd share these Streamline sound examples. These are just some short scratch tracks with just basic arrangements including general tempo, bass/drums for now. I'm working on the other instruments, and maybe add some vocals...

I've just playing with a new scratch recording process to quickly capture ideas. This was all done with my Status Streamline using a Line 6 G10t into a Yamaha THR30 iii with USB directly into an iPad Pro 11 and recorded with Garage Band. I can use this process with NO tech HASSLES to quickly capture an idea I'm playing with and then share it with others to collaborate on ideas.
