Just reporting on another gig wherein spending three hours of "work" netted me the same income as 12 hours of labour at the dayjob. Also, the dayjob doesn't supply an extra $100 of free drinks/food. And I blame the Slampegg for it sounding so damn good.
Also yes, the "work" gig, very fun and low pressure, "work" in quotes bc how on earth does playing cool songs in a chill environment ever feel like work?, included my gig board ft the Slampegg...: It plus the Linden EQ are a perfect pairing for my '60 P bass with GHS Pressurewounds. I can plug my P into the Quilter BB800 and sound very good. But plugging into the pedalboard makes me just giddy, and while I didn't flip switches tonight, I have 20x the tonal options I'd have without specifically the Slampegg & Linden, & well if I'm being inclusive lol, the Darkglass Hyper Luminal comp and the Broughton LPF heh.
It's worth noting, for exactly one song, I broke out a heavy pick and adjusted levels post-pedalchain, so I got some extra grit while plecktrumming, and the 'pegg responded like any vintage awesome tube amp head would: making it even better.
I have a world-class chain! But I wasn't inspired to build it until I first discovered some Sushi Box with the Particle Accelerator that now lives on my psychedelic rock board. (the one with the C4 and Meris Mercury7 and other awesome stuff feeding into the PA at the end to make it all better)
