We’ve got backyard chickens. They are fun and easy pets.I'm growing food this year so I can by more toob pedals. I want chickens but the wife says no.![]()
HWUA goes into the second tube stage (pins 6, 7, and 8) first, so with 12DW7 it would be like having a 12AX7 for the first stage and a 12AU7 for the second stage. ECC823 would be the opposite.
5751 has two equal stages, just a little lower gain than 12AX7 on both sides.how is the 5751 configured? I recall liking it in my old PAX, though not as much as the sqeaky clean 12AU7.

I like the name "Fancy", it is keeping the DI's in the F name category.and the unnamed "fancy" D.I.

Get the basic "Finally" DI, or the "Fancy" DI? has a good ring to it.
Or being that "Fancy" is a step up from "Finally", maybe it ascends up to the "Furthermore".
On Sunday, we picked up four week-old chicks for Mother’s Day, for my wife. We thought. My wife says I am walking around like a nervous mother hen, worrying if they are happy and safe and warm. She just wants eggs… we both grew up in rural areas, and had chickens as kids. My son named the runt barred rock Chickpea, and I named the other one PotPie. The two Buff Orpingtons I named Nugget and Tender. I wanted some chickens like that photo above but we couldn’t find any. And, living in a Colorado city, we needed docile, quiet, cold and heat hardy. I spent more on them and feed than a pile of eggs!I'm growing food this year so I can by more toob pedals. I want chickens but the wife says no.![]()
With a pedal in the bench already named MORE, I feel like FURTHERMORE would make a nice pair of pedals on that theme. Something like the super basic one-knob MORE preamp (should it ever see the light of day), with bells and whistles added.
I think this is the way to go. I love my big tube preamps/DI boxes, but an HPF and an LPF would be really nice.So the new fancy DI is not going to be an everything-and-the-kitchen-sink preamp. I am planning on having a great sounding preamp with a (most likely) Baxandall tonestack with tube-based HPF/LPF and a tube output buffer. I'm not planning to add a headphone amp, aux in, compressor, or AC pass-through. I'm still planning to take a 9-12VDC input, as using a transformer and taking mains input adds a physically huge component as well as a huge cost, and a huge liability. I understand the convenience, but I prefer to keep line voltage out of my pedals.
Gondwana will be my everything-and-the-kitchen-sink pedal, and that is still being worked on.

Hey @Sushi Box FX ,
I was just thinking about what to eat for lunch and had an idea. If(when?) you end up building an all tube head please name it "The Love Boat"

So the bad news is I still haven't started shipping for April, but the good news is I got a bunch more pictures that I didn't have yet. I'm planning to employ my in-house shipping department (child labor) to get things headed out tonight. I didn't have time to finish up the stragglers last night as I need to sleep eventually, but I expect everything to be finished and heading out by the end of the week.
