Yes but can you have seperate eq setting with that? I think the only other good option is something like the Radial Labs tone bone stuff...If you are using an upright or electric upright for your 2nd bass you are going to need different eq...

Actually on another note I really like the sound of the LMK when you mix both channels too..

Hi Dave, I got the info from a harmony central review

I mailed to the Company about changing the DI-Out to Post EQ and recieved a very friendly answer some days later. Pity, it does not work, but the Customer Support seems to be great.

Maybe they're talking about an older model?

Unfortunately there are no Markbass stockists near me to try them for myself so I'm relying a lot on word of mouth and the reviews from you good folk here on TB :)

Its very easy to change though, its just a jumper inside. I have the pdf showing how to do it.

I think there was a guy on Basschat i think that was disappointed with the way the LMK is configured. cant remember what it was but it didnt sound like the head was all that useful. might have been the way the filters or effect loop was set up.

Unfortunately there was an error in the manual.

The DI in the LMK is PRE-EQ, and CANNOT be modified.

The Little Mark II, Little Mark II and F1 come POST-EQ, but they CAN be modified by an authorized Markbass service technician.

All other Markbass heads have a pre/post switch on the rear panel.

So I love myLM2, just need rack ears for it (You may notice this message also migrated to the LM2 rack mount thread). It has turned into quite the challenge to procure them, but as it turns out, according to Peter, they had problem after problem and GC should have them in stock by the end of the month, unless they get stuck in customs. Once it gets through there it'll go to the GC distro center and will show up in their computers. Just an FYI.

I loved that head at NAMM. I also really like that R500, which is the tube preamp section of the Classic 300 paired up with the 500w ss output section in several of their other heads. I definitely need to get me one of those! Their sealed cabs sounded great, too.

I must say, the new MB gear looks mighty fine. I'll have to find a MB dealer and give the classic line, F1 and MiniMark a try!!
I'm a little sceptical on the R500 TBH (but that is said without trying it)im not quiet sure why i think this though :confused: It'll probably be an amazing little amp

Hey Guys
I've gone thru most of this thread and seen very little mention of the Little Mark 250. Anyone using one care to give a quick review? Is it available in the US? What's the price range?

I'm trying to decide if I should go with the LMII or if the 250 will suffice. I'm in New york city . The smaller and lighter, the better. Play mostly blues gigs in small clubs that often provide a bass cab with no head.

Any input appreciated

The difference in weight between the LMII and the LM250 is negligeble IMO (0.66 lbs exactly). The real differences are in wattage and price, of course. And as far as I know they are the only differences, so the tone should be the exact same.

The LMII is VERY loud, at least when running at 4 ohm. I could say half this power is big yet, but I guess you should go out to a store and try one if possible.

Yeah, but at the same time R500 has only one tube in preamp, when Classic 300 contains four. :confused: But control layout is the same.
